  1. You probably hit your forum limit, go delete some old posts.
  2. Pleasantly surprised by the overnight models. This thing looks, dare I say, locked in for the track? Westmoreland Co WSW has 12-17 inches in the notice and a glaze of ice possible.
  3. I feel like this is purposeful rage bait with stopping it at 7am Sunday when it’s an all day event Sunday,
  4. He may even end up being the advantage in, dare I say, a playoff round with all of his experience. Really fun to be tracking both a snowstorm and pens playoff chances again. It’s like the early 10’s all over again.
  5. Don’t like that. We know where that line ends up.
  6. Completely out of it to near direct hit in 24 hours, incredible. Seems to still be moving around a lot. I'm waiting until tomorrow morning to make a call on a trip to MD, but it's looking less and less likely.
  7. Still have to get it another couple hundred miles north for it to give us anything significant if we're to be in it. Looking more and more east to me.
  8. About 1.5" here. I'd say almost a full 1" more than just down the hill less than a mile from me. Temps must have really mattered to get it on the ground.
  9. Unexpected 2hr delay this morning out here. Roads look slick. Grass almost covered. Nice little surprise. Looks like Saturday popped back up for a small event too. Looks like winter
  10. My family has already called me alarmist for next weekend, so I’m trying to temper my expectations. Looks like it could be a multi-day event with double digit payoff. Can’t be upset about that, but can’t get too excited yet for we all have been too hyped this far out before.
  11. What types of systems are we seeing on the 10 day? That period of 22-26 looks good on paper, but I haven’t seen models.
  12. Reminds me a lot of last year late year when there'd always be a 3-5" system on the 10 day and then it'd never materialize. Seems to be happening a lot this month. Here's to hoping for a snowy end of Jan and all of Feb. Once March rolls around, I'm ready to get back outside.
  13. Forecasts seems to have bumped up to 4”+ around this way. With the 1.5” we have on the ground already, this will provide a nice blanket for the week with the weather. Nice to have snow on the ground again and be getting chances over 1” rather than what it’s felt like the last few years of chasing anything.
  14. Doesn't look like anything worth looking at the next 10 days, unfortunately. Can't complain about this December though.
  15. Ended up at 8.25" after 3 rounds of lake effect this morning. Now the cold really setting in. Feels a ton like winter. Couldn't be happier.
  16. It’s been sitting right over my place in northwest Westmoreland all morning. Moderate to heavy at times. Picked up another 1.5” so far with it still going. Sitting at 8”. It’s wonderful.
  17. Finished just over 6.5” with a small potential for a bit of extra today with lake effect. What a wonderful storm!
  18. 4.25” of snow here so far. I’ll have to remember how good December has been when it’s 50 and raining later this week and the landscape has turned back to grey and brown.
  19. Westmoreland WSW updated to 5-7”. Seems like they see something.
  20. That's a great question and there was plenty of speculation, but the fact remains that it was Smith's demands specific to Gateway getting King that led to the situation. Should some blame go to the school board? Absolutely. But that doesn't mean that Smith shouldn't be blamed as well. From my understanding (I haven't followed PSU football in awhile), there seems to be an unhappy subset of fans too that see his pins as a political play/attempt to strong-arm Penn State and.... hey... I suppose it worked for him once with Gateway, why not again with Penn State?
  21. As a Gateway graduate during that time and as someone who was there during the "Justin King" debacle - it was just that. A debacle. King went to the school board early on and told them that they had to invest heavily in the football facilities or he was taking King elsewhere. Gateway did - gluttonously so at the direction of Smith. So much so that the academics suffered and still continue to 20 years later/never recovered. Just take a look at where they rank now amongst western PA schools - quite a far cry from just before Smith took over. There's no excuse to have Pentium 2's running Windows 95 when the new weight room has Xbox 360's on every TV. There was no money left for anything outside of football, but they had new everything all the time with everything paid for, despite other sports playing with broken down equipment and non-athletic organizations having to self-finance. Then Smith skedaddled as soon as King went to PSU and left Gateway in the lurch. No mentoring of anyone, no hope for continued success. Just trying every way he could to get King ahead. He was a diva and a selfish one at that, plain and simple. On top of that, and VERY UNFORTUNATELY, any time anyone said a word against him or his approach, it was turned into a race discussion. It had nothing to do with race imo, and everything to do with him taking the piss out of Gateway for all they were worth. I suppose he's done okay at PSU, but in Monroeville? He's still public enemy #1 for taking a Blue Ribbon school and shifting focus to football, wringing them dry, and taking the midnight train away. And that's from someone who went to Gateway AND Penn State.
