I’ve seen the word “hobby” thrown around as if people here do this for fun
Reality is that this is a collection of people who don’t do well with not getting what we want. There are very few here who are simply interested in the weather and the science of it. Most here are after the weather they want. They come here daily hoping to get an affirmation that what they want is going to happen, or at least the needed therapy to survive the fact that they won’t. Count me in that group btw

“Wave breaking” has easily won the 2023-2024 buzzword of the year award.

They should have tried to run more, but KC was blitzing like crazy. They needed some quick routes/dump-off's to counter that. Lamar just wasn't getting the time to do much and needed some more options near the line of scrimmage.
Runs against blitzes can end up TD’s. You don’t typically send more than one in any gap. Simple football, block down kick out. Quick routes to covered receivers can quickly lead to pick sixes too, especially if you don’t recognize the coverage. If you are the number one rushing team in the league, you run the ball. Period. I still think it was the lack of discipline across the board that ultimately cost them.

as long as this thread is open....we are going to keep having bad lucks and things trending the wrong way
I actually agree with this. This thread serves no purpose

I usually don’t go down the road of “it’s the coach” but this game can at least be partially attributed to that. To have the number 1 rushing offense in the league and then hand the ball off 6 times is indefensible.
However … the lack of discipline in the part of Ravens players was a key part as well. The two penalties on KC’s drive right before the half were stupid on every level. Flowers was a one man highlight reel for stupidity. And that sequence of plays was huge.

This thing may end up a straight cutter. That upper trough to our ne is trending toward leaving. If that happens it’s gonna gain latitude.

This is a wild pattern right now. I remember way back when reading a forecaster discussion on CPC where he said models struggle with pattern changes. I think right now we are gonna see wild swings and lack of consistency. Just the nature of the pattern we are seeing.

Isn’t that our cold air source?I would think it could be oriented as to hold a cold high over Quebec without obliterating our storm at the same time.

This one is probably gone. Trending too far south on everything.
ICON does have a snow shower roll through the region. Sorry ya'll. I ruined this event.
This post will probably bring it back. Storms react to disparity.
I like how the ICON has every level below freezing here and shows rain.

It’s simply a timing issue. If that lobe off of the bowling ball over Labrador isn’t there at the exact moment that it’s currently modeled that thing will come screaming up the coast

Anybody that thinks early next week is outta the realm, you should probably think again. Look at the 3 globals that have just run and look at the trends

This may end up being a lot better than it looks now

Are we ignoring the GFS/CMC/EURO all having a clipper push through on Wednesday? Doesn’t look super exciting but favored spots get T-2” out of it. Only 5 days out
Yes it’s being ignored but I questioned that last night as well. It’s a Huron clipper lol

While we look ahead to our record Feb, maybe we should look at next week?

Not even a peep about the NAM?

The system toward the end of next week bears watching. All of the models have it, of varying degrees of course
