    Yeah the topography of California is impressive but for me it’s the latitude changes. If you placed the southern border at Norfolk Va the northern border would be at a latitude equivalent to Houlton Maine

    I just can’t resist when a mention of that storm comes up. Just got through reading and watching some video on it. We call it the storm of the century but it may well have been the storm of the millennium.

    We are getting very close for Thursday on. The trends in the gfs are good. I chose to see the positive. I’m sure somebody will say it’s impossible, but I’m in for now.

    Nothing. It was impossible to get snow from this system. Didn’t you hear? Too warm. Its 32 here tonight. I just said to myself earlier “it won’t snow tonight because it’s too warm”. Hate when that happens.

    Imagine living about 2 miles away and getting almost nothing. Yeah that’ll make a season alright. Just like the March 09 storm did for our season here in Winchester.

    Ok thanks but the way I read that is that it gives me the pressure level at the elevation where I’m located. I was wondering for example what the elevation of say the 850 level was. Just as an example.

    What I wish was in those soundings was the height above sea level of those pressure levels. Maybe it’s there and I don’t know where to look.
