  1. Since this is the long range weather thread ... looks like the snow chances are pretty much gone. Also looks to be an extended period of temps a little above average. I would love to see March 15 to April 15 be above normal, April 15 to May 15 normal, and May 15 to Sept 15 below normal LOL.
  2. @stormtracker hasn’t been this excited in a while. Maybe now he’ll put wheels back on the bus.
  3. Eh, 10 year averages are a pretty sketchy way to determine climate normals. So are 30 year averages but I guess it’s what ever definition you want to use. I know where I grew up the 80’s and up until the winter of 92-93 the winters were very mild and snowless. Yeah there was a year or two that was decent but I remember us talking then about why winters had changed so much. Since that time the winters there have been much snowier and more consistent.
  4. Great. At least now the dimwits will only have to say “wonder when warnings will be issued?”
  5. Same here. I remember well the hamburgers on what my grandparents called “light bread”.
  6. No way we escape more cold and snow
  7. I’d rather have the 40 degree rainy day. At that point I’m not saying “what if” or “I wish ...”. Remember my screen name is Winter weather lover. Drip, drip, drip is depressing for me. I like frozen, frozen, frozen LOL. When there’s no snow and no chance for snow it’s easier psychologically.
  8. LOL it’s no problem. I just couldn’t understand it.
  9. If it’s gonna be a 25 degree storm with 4+“ of snow, sign me up. If it’s a 32 degree storm that immediately shoots to 40 as soon as it stops, then give me today. It’s extremely nice outside.
  10. I am still confused by why the climate summary for Greensboro was posted
  11. Will they make a movie? Or will it go straight to Netflix?
  12. Don’t think a person could survive long in that without special gear
  13. Would have posted to banter but weather isn’t discussed there. Total insanity. Last few hours of obs at Mount Washington
  14. I would think it would be similar. As @WxUSAF pointed out, 850 is pretty high, usually around 4500-5000 feet. Would probably be hard to influence that temp with hot asphalt and concrete.
  15. I agree with you that the Pacific is the bigger player. I don’t agree about the miracles part
  16. It’s happening. Somebody tell @stormtracker
