Yea. It was sharp. I was just inside it. I got 3” very quickly. Been awhile since I saw rain like this
.Last time I had rain that heavy was probably August 2014 that was like 6” of rain though, this event reminds of that but a little farther east

I’m 1/2 mile south of Sunrise where it was raining, but not a drop at my house. I can’t make this up. Literally feet away, and now it’s sunny
Out of all the users here, rain probably hates you more than anyone else this summer lol

Picked up 0.5” in 15 minutes here before, 0.54” in total for this morning. Meanwhile places south of Sunrise Highway got barely a drop

And what a joke performance by the HRRR. Disaster by that model but others had widespread 1-3” here. That’ll be a total fail. Drought continues. Lawns are parched/burnt for many and most near the south shore/east end now.
I feel like we never even got a chance to recover from last summers drought, did we ever drop below D0 since then?
-
Well at least I picked up 0.10” with these showers passing through
-
90/76/102 currently, second 90 of the summer for me
-
High of ~91 here, currently 86/74/94, temp dropped when the marine layer moved in at around 2pm, before then it was fluctuating between 89-91
-
91/73/100, first 90 of the year for me

Picked up a measly 0.02” this afternoon, it doesn’t seem like the storms are going to make their way east of the city based on current radar but I guess we’ll see
-
Picked up only 0.09” of rain through yesterday and this morning, let’s see what today brings

It’s pretty spectacular how pronounced this pattern has been. The current radar shows it perfectly. Flooding issues pretty much surrounding the metro, but absolutely nothing survives. I’m not sure if this is a recent thing, or this has been going on forever and we are only just noticing (in my cases because I constantly check the radars from my phone) I think it’s a little bit of both. I remember plenty of good summer storms on the island that were the result of MCS systems that did make it all the way to the beaches.
I believe summer 2019 was a good recent storm season for the island, but nearly every year surrounding that has been mediocre

89/74/98 imby as of 1:00. First 90 of summer is in reach
-
80/74/85 here on the south shore, clouds have kept the temperature down a bit in the last half hour or so
-
Picked up 0.23” from that cell that moved through, 0.65” since Sunday night here, 3.55” on the month
