  1. I feel like it's actually been quite a while since we had big totals like the two recent ones. After 2018 and 2019, 2020-2021 were rather benign with heavy rains.
  2. Still, it's a waiting game. No use getting worried about it when it's still 8-9 days out.
  3. But nailing down temperatures is also not something we should do, if that were the case we should have seen -15 or -20 a couple times this year and a few 100 degree temperatures over the summer. Will it be above average, probably, can we say it will be 70, right now...no.
  4. Let's calm down and let the very long range just be that. If we get to the weekend and it says that fine. We've seen tons of snowstorms in the long range that didn't happen (tomorrow for example). Pump the brakes.
  5. You can't compare anomalies in the winter to the summer. January's record high is 75, about 40 above normal, July, the record is half of that above average. I'd say 17 above average in February is more like 91-93 in summer, which while warm is not unusual, much like the 56 yesterday.
  6. That's exactly what Ron Smiley forecasted this morning. Also, it's been since January 1st, since we've been this high. That's unusual in the winter. I'd say we still have had a pretty impressive run of non extreme warm temperatures. Even 56, while warm, is too extreme in winter.
  7. Seems they don’t have a clue. Every other day it’s cold then warm.
  8. It's a little ribbing, it really shouldn't be a big deal.
  9. For you. It was 8" in that time for me, over 9" at the official site. Warning was justified. The either county received a warning, as it should have.
  10. Mother of God!!! 99% of us were happy with this storm, and considered the warning justified, most of us corroborate 8"+ at our locations. We know, it was the worst storm of your lifetime. Tim made a joke, it's not that critical. Please can we move on?
  11. Already back below normal for the month by .1 degree. Those three warm days were easy to erase.
  12. Please, please, but way too far to even think about yet.
  13. Radar is filling with snow in the area. Very interesting.
  14. Yeah, I was wondering if that is upsloping too. Don’t know if we’re to far from appreciable slopes, but could be. I’ll take it.
  15. It is surprising how often these snows last much longer than forecasted. I love when that happens.
  16. You’re a character, lol! We we’re never officially forecasted for 12-18”, that’s not a lie. I’ll give that the 12-18” briefly crept near Pittsburgh, but we weren’t in it. You’ve gone from saying we were forecast for a foot to now possibly 18”. Most likely to make your bust “lie” seem more plausible.
