  1. Nothing fallen or on the ground here
  2. It’s going to be a long 4-5 days watching folks hanging onto each model run.
  3. So nice SNE hit is what you’re saying? lol!
  4. I thought this in October at some point we are going to go through a prolonged dry period and I thought it would be winter, but clearly not. We might be looking at a dry spring
  5. Looks like 1.00” on the nose and 9.33” for the month.
  6. Nothing like 9.00”+ of rain in 3 weeks time
  7. Are we approaching any annual precipitation records in SNE? I know starting off January and February think 2+ rain events were impressive but back to back 4+ event here in December in a weeks time is shocking to say the least. Couple that with all the rain this summer got to think we are closing are some records in some areas?
  8. Down to 18F here in E CT, not quite as cold as yesterday.
  9. Down to 14F here in the valley in E CT
  10. Hope not, 8.25”of rain in a week has not been good on my sediment filter
  11. I agree, I think it was a combination of 8” of rain in a week and high winds brought down some big trees; restoration process is moving right along with most fixed within 2-3 days; usually the day after is to survey and get restoration crews in place. People tend to have unrealistic goals of when things should be fixed.
  12. Power back late last evening; after being through TS storms here and Hurricanes in FL I chuckle at the those who wish to see a Hurricane here. A strong CAT 1 or higher would be devastating and most would be without power for 1 to two weeks or greater.
  13. Surprisingly my daughter still has school, was dropping off when the squall came through
  14. Some interesting squall lines heading for Central/W CT, might clip eastern CT
  15. And I think rain will be less than last week, more in the 3” range with a little more wind than we saw last week.
  16. Yup, Christmas 80 didn’t get above freezing if I recall.
  17. Remember it quite well, was delivering for Dominos to Nichols College on the Hill in Dudley, pounding snow at the school with 3-4” on the ground and just rain at lower elevation at the store
  18. I was onboard with a cyclical type change with as wet as 2023 has been I figured we were do for a stretch of dry weather; clearly not.
  19. The jumping off the winter bridge talk here on December 12th is amazing! I remember going to Sunday River about this time in the early 90’s with no snow on the ground and they only had 26 runs open. I think winter of 95/96 didn’t get cranking until mid or end of January.
  20. As we approach the end of the year, are any SNE stations approaching any records on yearly precip/rainfall?
  21. Glad you brought this up; wonder if we can track by storms which models were accurate; sort of like fantasy football @weatherwiz but different l.?
