  1. Snow has been super light in Burke for the last 45 minutes or so. Need that radar to be less choppy.
  2. Really hoping that today is just an appetizer. Even though we’re just missing on max potential today (even for a Miller B/hybrid), getting decently on the board will make potential longer-range letdowns a little easier to swallow.
  3. You give me too much credit - my wife does all the hard work.
  4. Thanks. We’re shooting for two-hour measuring intervals for plotting on a graph. I’ll just call it a linear increase from 3:30-7:30!
  5. 0.75” in Burke. Currently light snow and 28°. @MN Transplant or @yoda...any idea when it started? Important for my daughter’s math lesson!
  6. Exactly Thanks. That absolutely makes sense, but I suppose what I’m getting at is that if the NAM has that much snow in the Ohio Valley at 84, then I’m having a hard time believing the rest of it at the same time. I mean...it’s no RGEM, so it has to be junk.
  7. How likely do you think the snows back in Ohio would be at 84hr on the NAM? I know the NAM is crazy, but that seems pretty loco.
  8. Same. Taking the VRE from the city to Burke can be night and day in marginal setups, whether during or just after. Being at 325’ or so and a few miles west of the fall line can make a really noticeable difference. Ticked up a degree in Burke - now at 28 - but it doesn’t really matter. No concerns at all with the WAA piece. It only once the transfer begins that I’ll have to worry about snizzle. Of course, after that I’ll have to worry about whether I’ll get in the southern tip of the CCB.
  9. I kind of liked that NAM run, even before the smarter people chimed in. The WAA part is uncomplicated, and even if the NAM is a little juiced it certainly won’t be out to lunch.
  10. Two more trends like this and we’re risking 12” while 40 miles away is pure destruction.
  11. Storm escapes to the NE on the NAM - no real deform to speak of - it the WAA was pretty money. Not particularly concerned about it at that range.
  12. We’ve discussed it extensively (ad nauseam, really) in the past few days, too.
  13. I this what one would consider a real gradient event and/or SW flow event?
  14. Just a small annoyance on what BAMWX says in this tweet: Model output isn't data, it's information. Data is unstructured, raw material without meaning until structured and aligned with other data. Information is the output of structured data that has meaning and context for users. Long range looks quite promising.
  15. Nice setup - I'm impressed at the effort you put into keeping things going all winter. It does make sense that those cool-weather crops would be doing OK though, given the mild nighttime temps this winter.
  16. Nice. Are you planning to replant them outdoors or just leave them under the lights? Last year was the first year that I grew anything under lights, but I found that the cilantro and parsley took FOREVER to recover after I replanted them in the garden. Basil was fine. I have a potted oregano plant (from seed) that I decided to bring indoors for the winter - still doing pretty well by a SW-facing window. Are you going to put them in your yard or replant somewhere else?
  17. Decided to drop a few basil, cilantro, and parsley seeds into seed cells and throw them under the grow light a few days ago. Couldn't help myself - I'm already itching to get things started.
  18. 6z Op GFS with the opening gambit for chances throughout the run. Op GFS and all, but still...
  19. There's a house around the corner from me whose daffodils start poking through the ground by Christmas...EVERY YEAR.
