  1. For all the wrist wringing it looks like the pattern moving forward is plenty active with chances for all. What am I missing? Why the melts?
  2. Looks like a possible delayed but not denied theme beginning to show up on operational runs. At least it appears the potential is there for some more than nuisance events.
  3. What do you have up there Damage? I’m jussssst missing that band to the north.
  4. Merry Xmas eve everyone! Nice festive coating out there, quite the surprise. So what’s up with tonight? I thought that’s what this “event” was centered on. WWA up for the area tonight into tomorrow AM and locals saying we icy. What’s the pope talking about, I’m confused…
  5. Yeah, bummer man. I’m with you. Want some type of frozen for some nice holiday vibes
  6. Was hoping to get a couple/few more cold ticks, nasomuch… A coating down here if I’m lucky is the call.
  7. I believe the cold air drain is coming from the NNE, hence WCT w/ less frozen. Just my weenie analysis
  8. Not sure if I’d call this a downplay… it’s not a great look
  9. I’d be ok with some IP/ZR just a wintry appeal is fine. I’m not sure how much snow to expect down here(my gut says a coating at the end of which would be a composite of all three frozen ptypes) GFS tickled southeast but at this point I don’t think that tick will be of much consequence round here. I mean, the 540 line is half way up VT. I’m getting pumped going forward beyond this weekend however. Fun times ahead!
  10. The strung out diffuse look of the 0z Euro is how we snow this weekend south of the pike.
  11. Sure it looks a bit hostile(we’ve seen way worse)however we have some cross guidance support for something to pop around the 20th or so.
  12. I’m liking this progression. Torch the hell out of the region next week or so, reshuffle and roll the dice for the holiday period. Its giving me some nice weenie feels compared to blood red, magenta 500 anomalies that we are so uncannily and accustomed to seeing around the 25th. Break the chains!!! Lol
  13. Right, and correct me if I’m wrong… weren’t we discussing this last winter how the neggy NAO wasn’t doing much of anything to prevent cutters last season?
  14. And I don’t mean to reopen any wounds but as I was catching up on threads these past few weeks I noticed an undeniable void on the board. I’m so saddened to hear about James, I know it’s really late, but this is the first I’ve heard about it and it’s shocking and quite sad. RIP brother.
  15. Hi weenies! I dunno, I’m feeling pretty good about the Christmas-NYE week. I don’t believe we see a screaming grinch this time and we just might be dancing naked in the streets. Let’s gooooo!!!
  16. looking at last night’s and this morning’s stuff. I’m thinking this will be the apex down here after this last refresher as far as pack sustainability and the deep winter look. Sure, we might have some more chances, but it will be a step down process from here. JMO...
  17. Just over 5” here... that last burst was such pure fluff, stacked quite nicely.
  18. This last band is the most consolidated radar presentation of the entire event. Roads coated and solid moderate with good flakes. Nice parting gift.
  19. Looks like another 1.5” overnight and some mood flakes this morning. Hat tip to Ray, Scooter and Ryan, it’s nice to have some snow and it keeps the winter appeal going, so I’m not complaining by any stretch, but this event is kinda meh. What’s the best free radar product out there? I’m really scratching my head with why they got rid of the old one and replaced it with absolute trash. That was my go-to for checking radar.
