  1. Most of the Central and W Atlantic are +SST anomalies, it's wild. Erin looks to follow the gulf stream rather nicely too. plenty of OHC to keep going
  2. Yeah. It's interesting how bad the 1880-1900 period was for GA/SC, 1893 and 1898 particularly. Otherwise very rare new gfs rips the potential next system into the gulf, euro recurves similar to Erin.
  3. obligatory la-la land Savannah hit on 18z gfs ...always one per year
  4. every day is one closer to next Spring. take
  5. it's been forever since I talked about lawncare. I get that, didn't know or forgot was called lawn dormancy tbh I do realize that most lawns don't "die" so it makes sense.
  6. not a "close call" or scrape on any operational model, nevermind a direct hit. Inside D7
  7. I didn't realize lawns go dormant in early august
  8. I don't remember that one. But .. Yore
  9. that sucks. the new norm for us
  10. very dry times ahead. perhaps sunday a few showers/storms well NW
  11. if one really "wants" a strong TC into NE, you don't want a massive major out there upwelling and flying OTS.
  12. That's an August storm if I've seen one. I remember such a setup in Aug 2003, PVD/SE MA got smoked. Great shots *edit* SST's aren't quite the killer for you south folks Aug/Sept =)
  13. mid-levels cooling enough for that size hail? sick. I didn't check out soundings, that's a good storm though. Right along the seabreeze intersection, plus outflow from SE NH sdtorms, with weak cf boundary?
  14. Not really a threat. The OPs are hundreds of miles offshore. The future low moving from QC to NF is also fairly deep, and block over Greenland locks it in. I mean it's worth watching there, but not a threat.
  15. Gone before it ever developed. CV season is here!
