Yesh. I am at 38% of climo right now. Not ideal. I do think we get hit a couple of more times though. And the wall to wall cold has been something nice for a change. I am never going toi be negative about multiple weeks of snow pack. But I agree that this 7 year run has been awful as far as snow goes.

Which probably explains why I am so hateful right now. I got 28. Under climo. In fact my climo has dropped over an inch and a half in the past decade. That is ridiculous. 2016 is the last year I beat climo. And it was because of one storm. Yes it was an amazing 40 inch storm. But generally, it doesnt matter here anymore. Cold winter too far south, warm winter too far north. We just cant score here anymore. Add in the fact that i CHOSE this place to live 25 years ago for climate and it makes it that much more frustrating. Regardless I am really close to moving north soon. I am done with Virginia anyways.

Just being honest with you PSU. I really don't care about if its a favorable Nino or not. This is 7 years of utter failure here. What i do know is a Nino will bring precip duringvte winter. I will take my chances on what that precip type is. Bet its better than the past 7 years of clownshow though. And I know this is an imby take. So what. I honestly don't care if DC and BWI are getting ripped with heavy rain while we score out here. Used to care a decade ago. Not any more. This is an imby sport. Is what it is.

Problem is that pac will just blast us with warm upper levels. And this amazing arctic air will be wated again. One of the best arctic outbreaks in my 57 years of life is going to end up completely wasted. Rough hobby man. Edit: And another reason I am looking forward to a Nino next year. Yes we will get tainted constantly. But we will be wet. Just need to time up some cold air and we get the goods. I am done tracking Nina winters. They are a clownshow in the Mid Atlantic. We either get a record breaking storm. Or sit here at sunny and 19 degrees while the Carolinas get smashed.

Definitely wild to see dry slots on a southern storm. We suck at winter here for the past decade. But the synaptics and science involved with watching storms unfold still amazes me.

Problem with e GFS solution is the 500 pass is in the Great Lakes. We have a cold air mass. But we did last week as well. Just being honest that looks like a glorified frontal pass to me. Still a ways out there though.

This cold is just unrelenting. 17.6 degrees here with winds at 8 and gusts to 20. It is simply brutal out.
