  1. Hey guys. In reference to what Henry H said about the storm looping off Jersey. Apparently ( this is from another site mind you ), the CFS showed the storm doing a loop yesterday. You guys are pretty ruthless and opinionated regardless of Henry's. forecasting ( and even to one another ). Anyway.. Point is, dont judge others as none of you are perfect.
  2. Again... There is no way that what we are seeing today is the final outcome..it even close. Will we have a storm... Check Will there be some big Snow totals.. Check Is it safer to say echo will be getting them yet... ABSOLUTLEY NOT There... I've said my peace
  3. I totally agree to. There's a lot to back it up with the storm going back towatds the north Trend again. It's not like the high pressure is a super cold Arctic high pressure. Then I would say we have an issue with suppression. I believe with Juno, there was a much colder high pressure that suppressed the storm South. Can anybody confirm that, but I think I'm correct
  4. If no one expected that we would have some off runs before next Wed night and Thursday event, then you are either a newbie, or just need to reassess. Lol I totally expected some off runs. Very normal
  5. What I see is the Icon catching onto more a snow event. I do think the thermals with the Icon are warm biased. But..if you notice, it has been correcting with each run.. Eerily towards the Euro ans GFS. I find it more difficult to call the Icon the. " Trend Setter ". Lol.
  6. Yes. I remember. But the 2010 storm really did well in far western CT and mass..Hudson Valley New York..and South from there. Central CT on north and easy only received 3-6. The storm in 2009 was a better and bigger storm through southern New England, but the biggest totals were in Se CT into Se Mass. But we still had nice totals in the Hartford area just shy of a foot.
  7. So..with a 50/50 and -NAO.. Are we starting to see this slow down as it moves of the coast of southern Jersey? If that happens.. Would only lengthen the snow. This is crazy. We are 5 days out and such great model consensus. Anyone remember the last time we had model consensus with a storm 5-7 days out?
  8. So, if it does follow the slowing Atl pattern..would that cause the system to slow down and blossom with more precip?
  9. Wow. You still have full pack? I have patches around here and there..but, 95% is gone. Looking forward to adding to it early and mid next week. You might lose a bunch Sunday though with temps near 60.
  10. What I like better is when they forecast a certain amount, then.. Within 24 hours of the storm they have to keep using the totals and we get more then they forecasted. Those are my favorites. :-)
  11. Okay..because you said the second wave. Just clarifying
  12. Wait. I'm confused. Is the first wave the storm for Wednesday into Thursday? That seems like it's a good bet. Which storm are you taking about " it could be Cirrus "
  13. Sorry man, but nothing is showing that happening. I think you should let this one go. If a miracle happens, at least you'll be surprised
  14. But.. Is the 12th-13th storm going to be rain... Or snow? That is the question
  15. I like this Damage in Tolland guy!! Lol. Funny thing is, Nam showed this first today, then the Euro followed. Lets see if the GFS corrects mpre towards these two ( even the Ukie was in the camp of Euro and Nam ).
  16. I couldnt agree with you more. This applies to a few others to.
  17. Cmon man... I'm 49 in 2 days. Your kind.of acting like a child if you are old as you say you are. Smarten up, mature up, and be an example to the younger crew on here ( simce you are older tham most you should have some wisdom ).
  18. Listen. I think we all would be happy for you to join in the convo, just not in the negative way you have been posting. Reverse psychology, not wanting to be disappointed later... It doesnt really matter the reason, it's just doesnt add anything to the discussion. So... Join in, but please.. Try to keep your negative thoughts to yourself ( unless they are warranted and teue ). ;-)
  19. Thats why it is smart to focus on the here and now. Forecasting out beyond 2 weeks is somewhat futile. Too much of that on here..... Brings out all the cliff jumpers ( and it doesn't help with the antagonizers as well ). Sometimes the forum is a Shit show ( and I don't mean everyone, only a certain few ) lets track away and just ignore the naysayers.
  20. Ok..so wow. The GFS and the Euro both show something juicy for the northeast next Tuesday timeframe ( even the cmc ). This weekend still looks iffy, but improved somewhat from previous runs.
  21. Ok..so any chance to see what these model runs are showing?
  22. Listen.. I could truly see what you're saying, especially what happened last season. That took a lot of people ( and most Mets ) by surprise. But, this is not 2019/2020. It is ok to be prepared for the worst but also hope for the best. At least this year we are seeing things play out in the right direction. And hell, even if December turns out not to be a stellar snow month, I will still have faith that we will see a good, even awesome storm or two this season. There is really no telling exactly what will happen as the weather will do what it may, even with all the modeling available. But, I've also had my shares of surprises over my 48 years on this earth when it comes to to the weather. I for one will not go about it in a negative fashion. Here's hoping that this Winter will satisfy all!
  23. So... Great posts man. I love what you bring to the table. Appreciate all your optimism. This forum wouldn't be the same without you... Haha. I guess we need a few scrooges on here to keep it real. Can't wait until that first big one this season. Wont be long.
