    It's been so long since we've had a good snow in AVL I have a 4 and 6y/o and they've never (at least as far as they can remember) seen a big snow Even the ones they've seen have all seemed to be really gross wet quickly melting snows that were only 3 or 4 inches and marginal for play purposes anyway

    31.6 now imby Probably a solid inch, grass almost covered completely. Still decent, but not crazy rates

    31.8 at Albemarle (just north of downtown AVL) .5 to .75 inches right now and its coming down at a decent rate. Was pessimistic about temperatures but now that its unambiguously below freezing at the surface we can party

    Rocking dusting now 32.2 degrees and 94% humidity according to the Albemarle weather station which is 200 yards from my place

    Very near Grove park Inn in AVL and basically nothing on the ground. Pretty sure my temp concerns are bearing out. Weve had some pretty decent snow rates in theblast 2 hours but nothing stuck.

    I just dont see this verifying at these temps. Wouldnt be surprised to wake up to a half inch of wet slop...GSP backing off totals on the WSW

    Anyone in thr valleys concerned about temps. Hourly forecasts dont show freezing or below temps for any appreciable time, if at all....seems similar to January in that regard

    This seems like January...temps never got cold enough except at 3500+ or whatever, this just seems like one of those...of course i dont really know what im talkin about

    Official bust here in AVL, id guess just under 1 inch now...dont see much more today. Temps never panned out and looks like it'll mix at best once the sun comes out

    Temp broke just under 34...had been holding at 38 since dusk and fell 3 or 4 degrees in an hour once the moisture started getting to the surface. Light snow, sticking to my awnings but nothing else

    36 in Avl (28804) just starting seeing some flakes a few minutes ago There is a weather station about a mile from me but 750 (3000ft) up that is reading 33 Now down to 35 and 32 750ft up...

    I live less than 2 miles north of downtown and had 3.5 to 4 inches

    Probably 1.5 to 2 inches at my house in the shadow of grove park inn

    Snow just started, 37 in Asheville Been flurries/light snow all morning in Waynesville, 34, still no accumulation on anything (in town, I suspect at higher elevations it's sticking), currently more like light snow than flurries fwiw

    35 in Waynesville (work) right now, been heavy flurries/light snow form almost 2 hours, nothing at all sticking anywhere 39 at a weather station in Asheville about 300 yards from my home (2 miles north of downtown), wife said as of 5 minutes ago (9:35) that she hasn't seen a rain drop or a snowflake I'm thinking that below 3000/3500ft this might be a big bust

    Flurries/light snow in Waynesville proper (work) starting around 8:00am Left Asheville (home) at 7:30 and it was 39 degrees, no rain or snow First flakes or two I saw around 7:50 getting off of I-40 onto 19/23 then once I got to Waynesville there were "real" flurries/light snow not snowing at a pace that can or will accumulate at the moment

    Between my home (near Grove Park Inn) and work (Waynesville) there wasn't any frozen precip (none in the mountains i could see) and didn't appear that there had been any all night

    Live in AVL, but work in Waynesville. Nothing but rain so far today in Waynesville
