  1. Lucky! At least you get to cool down to 58 every night. Further south here it won’t dip below 75 at night this whole week.
  2. 12Z GEFS has seasonal temps/heat after this current blowtorch concludes. It’s selling this look July 6th all the way till the end of the run. I see a lot of low-mid 80s high temps ahead, which I don’t think anyone will complain about.
  3. Nice downpour today. Last cool day like this till August most likely.
  4. Going to get my dehumidifier ready It was so nice not having to crank the AC the last couple of weeks. Back to reality..
  5. To each their own but meh. Besides the fresh seafood, I can do everything else right here locally on the shorelines of good ole Lake Michigan June-September. Wisconsin/Michigan/Indiana shores to be exact, IL beaches suck.
  6. The oversized sub-tropical bugs and insects are pretty neat to see too. My favorite group of the bunch is the giant flying cockroaches… July is the peak month to see them doing their thing both indoors and outdoors, fueled by the high humidity from the daily storms and heat. I hear July is peak Mosquito season too down there. Have fun but stay safe JackStraw
  7. Defo bands in June Money man , Cromartie special
  8. Looks like no major heatwaves in the extended for the GLOV area through at least the start of July. I’m feeling like Mother Nature will even things out and we torch pretty hard afterwards. Early July through mid-August will be the prime window to stack up 90s.
  9. Doesn’t feel like a summer day at all today, nice fall vibes. 50s and rain around lunchtime, sick
  10. All of next week looks sublime. Near 70 and lots of sun!
  11. Nice donut over N IL. I think we’ll see some rain fasho but it won’t be much more that .25-.50”. Surrounding areas will do better. Hope I’m wrong tho
  12. Can’t beat cool crisp 50s at night followed by a nice dry 80ish during the day. locally we hit 48 earlier and then got up to 84 today. Lovely range.
  13. June 1922 is the driest June in the books for Chicago with .12 “ I hope we don’t break that record.
  14. Perfect snoozing wx at night. Crack open all the windows without worry
  15. Amazing stretch on deck for a lot of us with comfy dew points in the 50s.
  16. I’ll gladly take a healthy and very normal spring frost/freeze in exchange for the local ecosystem/ wildlife benefits. (Invasive species to be exact that can’t handle the cold) I know late spring cold sucks after such a nice stretch of wx but it’s very healthy for the local ecosystem to get spring freezes and frosts.
  17. Extended looks primo with a range of 40-70ish on deck.
  18. It will be very nice to kill off some of the skeeters that might have gotten going though. Late spring frost and freezes play a vital role in making sure disease carrying insects don’t get too bad in the summer up here in the Midwest/north. Sure some crops may suffer but overall late spring frosts/freezes serve a purpose and are a net + for the local ecosystem. Insects/diseases and Invasive species in particular are no laughing matter in the southern states, all creeping north with time…. As person who spends a great deal of time in forest preserves, I am personally very thankful for this frost/freeze.
  19. I’m Just hoping the hose doesn’t shut off for June/July/August. A dessert like summer could wipe out all of the drought progress this spring.
  20. 60 degree dew points are back. It is definitely noticeably sticky out there today.
