  1. When is it ever NOT a complex situation
  2. True. At the very bottom they put who it was written by. This one was written Tom and Bill Snyder. Bringing back the big boys for this one
  3. Interesting. Pretty big difference between what his graphic showed last night. More south. Going against the model trends. Skilling doesn't often put these out anymore either. Usually done by his team.
  4. Looking forward to a nice fluffy inch with this.. agree that this is not behind advertised more. May catch people off guard
  5. Made the switchover to rain here. it's a mess out there now
  6. As a result also slower. Not sure if that will help or hurt the temp situation
  7. NAM rolling in now. Looks like some signific6snt changes in SLP position so far
  8. LOT mentions this in their most recent AFD most global guidance does indicate a stronger clipper/northern Pacific hybrid system cutting into the Upper Midwest/Great Lakes region, which would steer a tighter baroclinic zone and stronger forcing back over the area for possibly a more robust snow maker somewhere in the region. Obviously at nearly a week out in this active pattern, confidence is low at this point.
  9. I've learned to never underestimate WAA. Been burned too many times
  10. Forecast of 17 at 7:30 AM tomorrow. Rain by 1:30pm
  11. A tick colder and wetter on the 18z GFS. Could be a respectable snow event for S Wisconsin
  12. 06Z NAM had a little secondary low that forms on the backside and scoots NE
  13. Agree with this. Seems as if we would get dry slotted with this path. But who knows at this point.
  14. Still looks to squeeze out 3-4 inches in N IL. I'll take that and run
  15. Hoping we get some remnants of it this far west. Be nice to squeeze another inch from this system
  16. Looks like some LE radar returns showing up just north of Milwaukee heading south
  17. NAM looks to be coming in South. SLP in Texas panhandle
  18. I like the idea of an observation thread once storm has "started"
  19. Some banding starting to set up. Hopefully it stays together and just sits on the top of us
  20. Move that bottom edge in N Illinois north about 50 miles and id buy it
  21. I sure hope so.. my eyes just don't see it happening. No scientific data or reason to back that up though
  22. Agreed.. I'm throwing in the towel for first round just soley based on current radar returns.. hoping for the best on the LE
