  1. Is suppression the bigger risk now? Or is it possible the models flip flop again and retreat the cold air more like 48 hours ago?
  2. Been a while since we had a big storm opportunity in the mid range. All models have the storm and have been keyed in on it for a bit now. “The big ones get sniffed out early.” I feel good. Like we have hit 5 legs of a 10 leg parlay so far. We usually lose by leg 3 and then head back to the model bookies to place more bets to chase our losses.
  3. I’m just past Hamilton near Purcellville. 480’ elevation. In-Laws own it though. They live right at the top of the Ridge near Bear Chase Brewery at 1,405’
  4. What gorgeous runs. 2024 trying to start with a bang! These bigger storms are always sniffed out early and lead to long tracking nights. Going to be a grueling week. To see this trend our way for once is notable and I hope it does not trend back the opposite way.
  5. Glad I moved to Western Loudoun. Geographic Snow insurance may be needed on this one. Beautiful GFS run and trend back the way we want. Going to be a long week tracking.
  6. This post just saved the thread AND winter
  7. Just looked and it’s a beaut. Glad it’s still there regardless of anything else
  8. If it doesn't snow, I just want as high of winds as possible from this
  9. Are we actually about to back into something here?
  10. What this all means is that I still have to go to work tomorrow…
  11. If we don’t get an inch until January, this board will implode
  12. Imagine the poor folks on this board who will be on the dry, east side of this storm...
  13. For impacts further north, we want a more subtropical look though, right?
  14. Shit, is the tornado confirmed or radar indicated? Heading right for me
  15. We say this every year. How much public trust is left to be lost at this point?
  16. Was just reading this myself. This write-up is legit and about as badass as it gets. If this underperforms today, I will stop following sever weather and stick to snow
  17. Here in Reston right now and multiple blue sky patches and sun breaking out now
