  1. Euro has a seabreeze on Monday afternoon but torches us badly on Tuesday afternoon with temps near 100 at 8PM still.
  2. 0z Euro for Monday afternoon. You don't see winds literally facing eachother NW from one direction and SE from the other often:
  3. 18z GFS now has low 100s in NYC on Sunday. Shit model
  4. I wonder how all this rain will affect the 130 degrees the Euro is showing for NYC next week
  5. The ASOS at LGA is situated to the west of any runways, and since our heatwaves come from westerly/SWERLY winds, I don't think the runway traffic would have any effect on the airports highs during hot stretches.
  6. It doesn't look as nice if it's cloudy
  7. 12z ICON now has cooler coasts and roasts the interior when previous runs roasted the coast as well.
  8. @bluewave why did you post that pic! I'm so scared now, I'm hiding under my blanket
  9. So it the system or the power line that has the problem?
  10. I'm just being silly It's 106 for a big area on Tuesday
  11. Euro still has 150 degrees for NYC on Tuesday What has changed pretty dramatically is the heatwave is now basically over on Tuesday when runs a couple days ago had highs over 100 for like 5 days in a row. Some spots still get to the 90s on Wednesday especially Central NJ where they make another run at 100 in a small spot but a significant chunk of the board stays in the 80s.
  12. In winter on radiational cooling nights I could be 10 degrees colder than LGA.
  13. Corona, but that's not saying much. I'm to the east and everyone has lawns and there are lots of trees. Despite that the Ambient stations are running close to Corona because during the day temps are similar. At night I wildly diverge from LGA.
  14. Because I was hovering over Central Queens and I took a screenshot while in temps and wind barbs mode. That mode doesn't show temps across the area, just where you put your cursor.
  15. Hey Forky was I scared when I posted this on Monday?
  16. The 6z AI was much stronger and closer to us with the early Sunday thunderstorm complex compared to 0z. The regular Euro has it going through northern New England.
  17. No that's what I was saying, he was saying astronomical dates are more in line with our seasons.
  18. Weren't you just arguing that our seasons match up with the astronomical dates?
  19. I'd rather keep the current system rather than lose a half hour of light in the evening for 7 months.
  20. The city is huge, that's like taking a snowfall average across the city and only using one number for the total city wide. Meanwhile JFK can have an inch while Northern Bronx has 8 inches, which has happened many times before. Or in Feb 5th 2010 when I had flurries and southern Staten Island had 10 inches. You can't do that with temps either.
  21. Your wife needs to be "reeducated" lol Permanent EDT is the way to go
