I guess that's the end of the runup in temps

Those of you who called the compressional heating (and throw in a little downsloping) good call. Northern Queens has been basically stuck in the upper 90s for the most part while everyone central Queens south has made it to the low 100s.

It shows 104.9 now, so it came back down a bit, still higher than all surrounding stations

College point wins at 125.6 degrees. Disregard that the sensor was installed in front of a dryer vent.

Now 106.7 degrees

Hahahaha, the station juyst north of JFK is now 106.3 degrees. I think it broke lol it's the only one that high now

That can't be right, all the stations around there are in the mid to upper 90s, plus the wind is off the Sound.

The station just north of JFK now shows 103.8 degrees

Hudson River tainted air, throw it out

The stations near me in nothern queens are stuck between 97 and 98

There is an Ambient station just outside the airport that is reporting 102.9 so it seems in line.

Most of southern Queens is between 101 and 103, most of northern Queens is between 97 and 99

The city's only natural cooling center, open 24 hours a day

Rapid refresh shows JFK at 100 degrees as of 12:20PM

it won't be official until the west side one touches 100 lol

All the 100s ambient stations are in the southern half of Queens

There are a few ambient stations now showing 100 in south Queens

JFK seems stuck at 97 despite the wind still being NW down there

I knew about the Coned site there, I just figured maybe it was a bit too far south based on where the number for the station is placed on the map. On top of that Streetview there is from 2022 so it doesnt show the new fence the webcam is peaking through toward the street so you can't even see the micronet site from the street, there is an old wooden fence behind the metal fence blocking the view on Streetview. But when you look in the same direction as the webcam you can clearly see the same building with the same horizontal white stripe on it. Mystery solved, thanks again!

The station at LGA is like 100 feet from the water with literally nothing blocking the wind. Central Park is nothing like that.

On their official on the 51s updates it says 96 but the rapid refresh was showing 97. It's something with the way they round the numbers I think.

Central Park and LGA the cool spots at 91 degrees at the ~11AM update.

Dewpoints have been holding in the low 70s since last night here, it would be nice to see a bit of a drop
