  1. Bro the location and foliage is not the same as it was in 1966 in Central Park. I
  2. It's amazing what a difference low dewpoints make.
  3. I think even if NYC recorded a high of 75 you would somehow try to spin that shit as valid
  4. That's one of the hottest parts of the NJ coast on the 18z NAM at 5PM Monday. This is fickle though so I'm sure it will change:
  5. I love cooler temps, not if they're fake though
  6. That means pretty much every model is overdoing the seabreeze which is something that globals I would think would have a problem picking up properly to begin with. So if they're all showing an ocean wind cooling everyone off you'd think they'd be on to something.
  7. Damn I meant Monday afternoon not Tuesday lol My brain saw Tuesday 0z and mixed up the days
  8. I don't think you're maintaining 90s with a wind off the water, even if it's on the lighter end.
  9. 18z NAM for Tuesday has major seabreeze as well. 70s for NYC at 8PM:
  10. Low to mid 80s for the city by 8PM on the RGEM for Tuesday. That would be amazing.
  11. 18z RGEM is showing some cracks in the offshore flow. This is 5PM Tuesday:
  12. The water on the south shore is currently close to 60 degrees.
  13. Don't forget though the water is much cooler now than it would be a month from now. If a seabreeze comes Islip should cool down pretty well.
  14. I think we're all getting thrashed with the heat on Tuesday.
  15. 18z NAM has a seabreeze for Monday as well. But it gets close to 100 before it drops us into the 80s and 70s east of the city.
  16. 12z Euro AI still focuses highest heat over NJ intsead of sweeping it to the beaches. It also has a seabreeze for Monday.
  17. Major seabreeze on the 12z Euro for Monday, but Tuesday we go to 106 for a fairly large area
  18. Of course what you say is true, I was being silly lol I was being sarcastic because people blame UHI for everything. How does UHI explain record breaking 850mb temperatures for example? It doesn't, but people will continue to blame the airport or the concrete at sea level.
  19. To be fair all those tens of thousands of feet tall vertical cities everywhere have added UHI to the entire atmospheric column
  20. 12z GGEM also has the evening seabreeze for Monday.
  21. Now the GFS is hotter than the damned Euro. Monday 5PM temps in central Queens on 12z GFS: 104 degrees On 6z Euro: 85 degrees
  22. Finally a free source has the 6z Euro. It looks like there's an ocean wind on Monday keeping the bad heat inland. Tuesday the winds go NW and everyone torches full blast.
  23. That's actually 0z, ICON is a bad model so it looks totally different at 6z and i deleted it
  24. People in insane asylums tend to wear jackets
