I drove Asharoken Ave once many years ago in winter and the wind was so ferocious that it had caked all the short trees and bushes in ice coming from the ocean spray right next to the road where it gets really thin. I wish I took a picture it looked really cool.

I hate CC as much as the next guy but like 80% of wildfires are caused by stupid people or substandard maintenance of power lines passing through wooded areas.

The 0z EURO is much cooler for us that previous runs. Of course I am referring to the days past this Tuesday.

I bottomed out at 53 degrees but I'm up almost 20 degrees already in the low 70s.

Thank you for the info. Though the two graphs have a different y axis max despite being about the same image size so it makes it look like the percentage difference between the two is minimal. I thought that until I realized the bottom pic went to 60 instead of 50 haha.

I love these stats and the way you visualize them. Put things in perspective. Can you also do >70F?

I found a couple of nearby Ambient stations that dropped to 47 degrees, like a couple miles SE of me.

I've had a few close calls in the low 50s but never actually below 50. I am not that far from the water either, places that are a few miles south of me more in the central part of the island away from the Sound and the ocean get a little bit cooler than me. Plus my thermometer is like 20 feet up and not the best location unfortunately. All that combines for elevated temps.

6Z GFS says the last day over 70 is this Tuesday for the duration of the run.

My thermometer is 20 feet up, I bet I could have squeezed out a few more tenths if I had it at 2 meters.

First 40s here, 49.6 degrees. LGA low was 57 degrees hahaha
