The snow is pretty white here. Eyeballing 5 inches otg and I think we will squeeze out an extra 1-3 maybe 2-4'' from coastal enhancement.

Nice returns coming from the SW and the r/s line is slowly creeping north. Doubt it will get this far but it's a sign that the really heavy bands can shift north and shellack a lot of the subforum, as well as backbuilding.

FV3 showing that BECS run again: 06z GEFS. There is an increasing signal for a potentially significant snowstorm for around the 20th. MJO no longer wants to go to and stay in phase 5... it is very close to COD and a low amplitude then we go right back into the favorable MJO phases. The SSW damage has already been done and the PV is displaced south. Fun times ahead.

Yes! BTW I bet those ratios right now up in PSUland are about 12:1 - 14:1 right now.. temps there are in the mid 20s lol closer to upper 20s
