There are three storms that pissed me off to an extreme level and really left me bitter.
1) Dec 5, 2003
2) PD II
3) 1/29/22
Dishonorable Mention: The second in the sequence of double barrel event during December 1996.
March 2001 is my all time bitter storm

It was more right then wrong, The other models were to cold and had accumulating snow down to NJ.
Yup I’m from northwest jersey and most models had snow accums for me from 3-8 inches . as precip started I was mostly sleet and zr with some flakes mixed in . Majority of what fell is sleet and about an inch of sleet so far
-
Snow sleet and zr all together in Morris county . Temp 29 dewpoint 15

Nobody should be the slightest bit surprised.
Unless they ignored the path of the mid-level shortwave through Lake Ontario and the past 6 runs of the NAM.
The GFS gets sleet to ALB now. Probably briefly to SVT too. Should still be decent snow up there though.
Not surprised , but Not to long show that and euro where showing me as 6 plus lol. Current temp here 29.5 and dewpoint 11. I’m thinking some nasty icing is going to happen

TWC is really hyping the threat of a nasty ice storm for northern and inland central NJ and much of PA.
Meanwhile dewpoints in my area continue to hover in the single digits. That's going to lead to a good deal of evap cooling, at least in the beginning half of things.
Amazing gfs doesn’t even show a trace of snow for us now lol

Ukie about the same?
I have no choice but to root for the uk as it’s the only model giving me snow now lol. This has been an awful winter snow wise for my area of nw jersey. 16 inches for the year

I'm confused why the Models have gone colder and colder but everyone is saying South of the Pike, like Me in NE RI is still in a big danger zone.
I feel like this is going to be the OLD CLaaaaassic I get 3"-4" and Crapola that Looks like Crapola when it's done and people at the pike get 12".
Not getting colder for me down in nw jersey, gfs just took my snow away lol

Yeah not by much. That was also pretty cold. Still keeps Boston snow. But yeah those ticks are what I was thinking would happen earlier. We’ll see what 00z varsity models do.
These ticks make me go from 3-5 of snow to all sleet and zr and zero snow

You are fine because it’s normal conversation. I know you know this . But those ladies come in here and post incorrect information to purposely mislead the forum. And it’s only when their areas miss out. You and the copper from NYC and others that are here to participate are more than welcome
9 minutes ago, RUNNAWAYICEBERG said:Nah, it’s all good. It’s just the folks who wish snow away from this region that don’t live here, we find odd.
I hear ya , guess they are jealous. Really never understood why some get jealous of snow. As one other poster said before i also come to this forum because of the good discussion you guys have. I don’t always chime in but read often.

You don’t live in New England. So why do you post in our forums though? No one understands
Guess I shouldn’t post in here either . Didn’t know you had to stick to your exact region lol. I go between the two as nw jersey is closer to New England wx wise vs nyc

For those going with the mesos look at the progression of the anticipated gradient on the RGEM during today's runs. Look at 6z, 12z and 18z. Interesting stuff.
Yea went way south with snow . Let’s see the Nam do the same . 18z Nam 0 for me , 18z euro 9 lol

Off topic, but I played against Butler on the old field back by the hill; great games. Before that, my dad used to take us to watch the Thanksgiving game. Turf is the way of life now, but personally I enjoyed playing on grass.
That back field was way better field to watch a game at , now they moved it to the track field. What hs you go to?

Well, there you go. Grass fields take a while.

It's not like it hasn't snowed. There have been a good number of 1-2" events. But we always want more and bigger. I know you enjoyed your two solid events, but I bet you were still a little jealous of LI, SE CT, and SNJ when they got 12+.
My biggest storm this year is 4.3 in nw jersey lol. Total snow 16 inches so far . Terrible winter but in the plus snow on the ground for almost all of January
