For me, this was very hard to measure for some reason. I cleaned off the table last night, but my measurements still differed between 3.75" and 4.25" (a .50" range). I'm thinking that I did not do a great job cleaning off all the water residue, which then allowed some ice to form in certain areas. This perhaps caused the snow to begin accumulating on these icy patches first, therefore giving those sections a "head start" of sorts.
Anyway, I'm sticking with 3.75" lol.
U are higher up than me I think so I’m sure u were a hair colder which helped since Rates were mostly light

3.75" here. Did you get a measurement @rgwp96?
Called in 3.5. I had 3.3on car top and 3.8 on old snow . I just took the average . Was hard to tell which was the old snow exactly

Thanks man! Yeah you did mention it. That band was wicked. Social media reported 25" in Butler and Kinnelon, but 23" was my most consistent measurement so I feel comfortable.
Yup I measured 22.8 and Mt golly replaced with a bogus 25 from social media .

Pretty interesting read here in regards to the amazing snow hole throughout the region on friday. First in recent memory and hopefully the last! lol

Interesting I had the same thing happen in my area . Were you around that area in April 1 of 1997? Exact same scenario happened here in that storm as well.

Today was a very frustrating day for me.. Massive fail in my area today. All around me even areas with less elevation than me did better. There must have been some warmer air aloft that got trapped east of the ridge that never got scoured out. From 330am on till about 11am I was going back and forth w/ rain & snow.
Dude I couldn’t figure out what was up with this storm . I’m not really high up but places 200 feet lower and southeast of me had 3 before I even had a dusting . I’m in my own town the western side lower elevation did better than eastern side higher elevation. . My side of town ended with 2.5 while sw side ended with 4-5 inches .

@rgwp96 I remeasured later on and got 2.1", which makes sense since when I took the first observation it continued to snow for a couple of hours (albeit lightly). Have to watch out for that layer of ice under everything too, very slick.
Definitely disappointed with the totals, however like others have said, the scenery afterwords was nice. I'm amazed that we still haven't had a 6"+ snowfall yet.
I took a dive on my sidewalk this am lol . Thankfully nobody saw it , fell hard though .

@rgwp96 Measured 1.75" at 8:40am with an icy layer underneath.
Measured 2 on my snowboard and picnic table and yes a little sleet underneath . Pathetic

4.2 of sand , thought this would be a fluffier snow . It blows around yes but certainly not light like I thought it would be

Never got in any band . Seem to be about 5 miles to far west . Didn’t take official measurement but probably 3-4 range

It's go-time and the Euro jumped almost 100 miles east in farthest QPF extent in 1 cycle
incredible fail down here. 2-3ft predicted will be 2=3 inches lol

That’s what I do . It’s to confusing the other way and reports all over the place . To the public that’s all that counts anyway . The big storm for me last week dropped 24 plus in my area (northern nj morris county )My depth was 23 and that’s what I reported
