I know they mean well but seriously 1-8 is not a forecast. It’s just telling you that anything can happen. A true forecast is a range of acouple inches like 2-4. I’m fine with the zones but they need to stick their necks out a little more make a real prediction.

It’s moderate to heavy frozen mix in Montclair. Putting a nice crust on the 3 inches of snow already laid down.

I’ve noticed a trend with some of our events this year. Many storms both rain and snow that would normally get eaten up by the mountains or be delayed because of dry air have overperformed. I remember other years where good returns seemed to never get to us or get eaten up by the mountains. Anecdotal i know but it’s worth noting.

Whatever happens that is one large plume of mousture headed toward us and we have dews in the low teens for the most part. Let’s overperform baby!
