  1. Fauci is very much considering lowering the 6ft rule to 3ft. A recent study of 251 Massachusetts school districts showed no difference in Covid related cases of infection between the 2 distances while wearing masks. So there is now overwhelming evidence of low #’s of transmission in schools and the 6 ft rule seems to be the curtail to opening schools fully. Thus needs to be lowered immediately so school kids can get back where they belong, in school, amongst friends in a social and educational environment
  2. Yeah it’s pouring in Williamsville with lightning from time to time...more like July than March
  3. Amazing in a winter that will have long stretches of AN temps for the first 45 days. Just goes to show the lows we’re t that cold and it threw off the average
  4. First of all it is extremely difficult to get an appointment to receive the vaccine. Second yes it’s like Halloween at 1600 Pennsylvania ave. It’s extremely scary how they’re not concerned at all with the repercussions this will cause...for years...
  5. Right in time for spring!!! Yep that’s the big middle finger from mother nature
  6. I guess which is more important? We’ve lived our entire lives with a flu shot that’s anywhere from 25% effective to 50% effective but will keep you out of the hospital. I think it’s kind of a no brainer to get one shot and have ultimate safety from the hospital or possibly dying than 20% more efiiciacy
  7. Totally agree! I’m beginning to wonder why would anyone want the other 2 options? I’ve also read the J&J vaccine is more “friendly” to those with allergies.
  8. Speaking of vaccines, I love what Ohio has done and I hope NY follows suit. When you sign up for your vaccine YOU get to choose which vaccine you want in your arm...research shows the Johnson & Johnson shot is 100% effective at not landing in the hospital or dying from Covid...this seems like a no brainer to me, no?
  9. Honest question...who are they playing? I didn’t think the season schedule was released yet so how do they know the date?
  10. I’ve heard the same, local Mets brought it up as well. Next week looks like the one week and back to wintrier type weather. This is exactly why mud lasts well into April many years and some places to May. I really believe in a lot of ways it’s why people associate us with long winters because springs around her more often than not do not get spring like for good until mid May.
  11. That’s impressive especially during a year where we had such long mild stretches earlier in winter
  12. I saw! The first step! This could go a long way to some semblance of normalcy this summer!!!
  13. I also want to make note of the info BW posted yesterday about Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson still having antibodies after 11months. Could there’s been permanent? If so would they need a vaccination?
  14. I’m really beginning to think that the combination of vaccinations, symptomatic and asymptotic ( I’m guessing there are millions who don’t know they were ever sick) and some naturally immune due to antibodies for the coronavirus the cold strain, as that one German publication researchers found, that were close to the 65% mark for herd immunity. If that’s the case then it’s no wonder as more people become vaccinated then this MIGHT be nearing an end in the next few months.
  15. Time to put this winter to pasture. On to spring I suppose
  16. I think this page is about to become very quiet over the next week
  17. I mentioned the other day there were 60’s in the near future the other day! This snowpack will be toast and flooding may be a concern
