I don’t think flakes will make it all the way to the coast. Could be wrong, but it’s still 40 degrees where I am and the back edge is already to the Poconos.
You most likely will be right but hey man stop being a debbie downer and let us coastal folks hang on to some hope to see a flake in may haha

None of the models that take melting into account showed accumulating snow near the coast. Those 10:1 maps are garbage even in Winter.
No one is saying that they're expecting accumulating snow at the coast. Flakes are most certainly possible. Mixed or flurries. Which would still be awesome and historic.

I made a post a few weeks ago about wondering if we would ever see any amount of snow in May in NYC and if we'd ever see it in our lifetime...Here we are few weeks later and we might see some flakes

LGA just gusted to 52! No advisory under NY either.
We were under an ADV but they let it expire. The wind got crazy with the squall that passed through, but other than that it was a good decision to let it expire. Winds really calmed down after that main squall.

.52 so far tonight. See what happens tomorrow with the shallow convection. SE PA got hammered

Congratulations! I hope to reach that milestone before the end of the year. The way I figure it and with apology’s to the competent statisticians on the forum, at my present pace I would have to live to 113 to catch up to Anthony’s present count. Of course by then he would probably be approaching a quarter of a million. As always.....
Thank you rclab and Im right there in the same boat. Im 29 now, by the time I reach metsfan post count, ill be somewhere around 70...maybe older..or ashes... Always look forward to one of your posts. You bring great wit and dry humor and I love your ending... "As always"

Still pretty neat having a storm roll through that changes to snow..
Indeed! That's happened to me once, in april in the early 2000's. It started off as thunderstorms and temps in the 50's to heavy snow.

Mesoscale models have an area of "showers" moving through early afternoon before the main show. Worried that might severely limit the amount of CAPE available. The 18z NAM backed off quite a bit on instability.
200-400 j/kg of surface based cape will be more then sufficient. Elevated cape will be there as well. With the strong winds aloft this can definitely produce some nice winds in areas.
-
Def some weak spin up potential tomorrow with the low cape/high shear along the QLCS. Gonna be interesting to watch

Also watching a pair of cells northeast of Victoria, TX. The northern one does have some mid-level rotation evident and moving into an undisturbed environment as it moves towards the southern half of metro Houston.
Im watching that as well, unimpeded environment ahead of it and its super isolated. Getting better organized as well
