Officially a season ticket holder can't wait! @Buckeyes_Suck We gotta meet up for a pregame beer this upcoming season.

Also just found out I won a trip at work to Florida in June for being a top 3% employee, if only they gave me more than a 2% raise...

You really need to change jobs to make more money. I get comfortable and don't do well with change.

    Congratulations on both fronts!

Havent liked him since he was a baby about Foles winning the Superbowl.

Yeah, I don't know what he's got anyway.  The article I posted indicated that he's probably just a guy who will keep the seat warm for the next quarterback unless he really kills it.  It's a thin market for quarterbacks now that Rogers is staying in Green Bay and Wilson went to Denver.  The draft class for QB's doesn't sound that impressive either.

I'm hearing the Giants might bring in Trubisky as "competition" for Daniel Jones.  Not sure about that one.

Seahawks trading Russell Wilson to Denver..

They received a nice haul considering Wilson will be 34 this fall..

The Broncos have agreed to trade quarterback Drew Lock, tight end Noah Fant, defensive lineman Shelby Harris, two first-round picks, two second-round picks and a fifth-round pick to the Seahawks for Wilson and a fourth-round pick, sources said.

Guess they figure that they'll need some assets for their rebuild.  Maybe they figure Wilson can play another 5 or 6 years.  DK Metcalf might be gone now also.  I wonder if Pete Carroll will stick around.

While March 2012 was our warmest March on record, the monthly highest temperature wasn’t that impressive.

I remember going to a Devils game on March 23 that year (2012) and thinking how crazy it was to be watching hockey while it was so warm out.  Pretty sure I went to the game in shorts.  I could swear it hit 80 that day but I guess I'm wrong.

Yeah I don't really have an MLS team.  I Would say one of the NY teams but I can't. NYCFC is tied to Man City who are owned by a middle east SWF and are helping ruin soccer. And Red Bulls...no. I would be disowned by the supporters of the team I support, which is Borussia Dortmund in the German Bundesliga. And we crashed out of the Champions League and Europa League comps this year.

I've been to  Dortmund match and last October to an Amsterdam Ajax match. Intense and fun.

The passion of soccer fans is unmatched.  It's really like a religion to a lot of them.  I'd love to attend a match in Europe one day.

Beisbol MLB is a joke. Who cares? I used to be a die hard Mets and baseball fan. Don't watch anymore as team sucks, games too long; season too long, covid mess.  I watch more soccer now. It has its drawbacks too  but 2 hrs and done.

Champions League is great, as are the other international competitions.  I find that a lot of the European domestic leagues are too top-heavy.  Always seems like the same 4 or 5 teams (sometimes even fewer) who are in contention for the title...although that Leicester City championship in the Premier League a few years back was a great thing to witness.  I'm not big into the MLS but I should go to a Red Bulls game at some point.  It looks like a really fun atmosphere.

Baseball is too long as it is.  Cut two months for all I care.  Sounds great to me.  100 game season would be great and still too long IMO.

It is a grind.  A lot of sports fans are focused on the NBA and Stanley Cup playoffs in the spring anyway.  I couldn't possibly watch every game but it is nice to have something to watch or listen to on a summer evening if there's nothing else going on.  I guess that's the advantage football has.  One game a week and you only get 17 of them unless your team reaches the playoffs. Each game feels like an event and the length of the season leaves you wanting more.  By the time August rolls around, I'm jonesing for football.

I know I'm oversimplifying but nobody involved in these negotiations is hurting financially.  Figure it the f--k out, guys.  There has to be a deal they can come up with that will satisfy both parties.  Why the hell would they want to do this to the sport coming off two crazy years impacted by the pandemic?  They're blowing an opportunity.  People want to get back out there and participate in activities that they enjoy.  The longer this goes, the less I care.  There are other things that I can do in the spring and summer.  If it's there, I'll watch but I don't need it.  Baseball isn't the only game in town anymore....and this could serve to further alienate younger fans who are already less enthusiastic about the sport.

Telling Americans that the USA sucks in

    2022: "We know"

I honestly don't know if I'd rather live anywhere else but I also get this nagging feeling now that we could be so much better than we are.  We can be a very frustrating country.

Just got a direct exposure. About to see how well the booster actually works. 100% exposed. Based on what I know I have a 2-3 window to see if symptoms  develop.

Fingers crossed that you don't come down with it.

Getting my booster tomorrow morning.  Figured I'll have most of Saturday, then Sunday and Monday to recover if I experience side effects.  Take advantage of the holiday weekend since I didn't have anything else planned.

Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Herbert are the new Brady, Ben, Rivers, Manning in the AFC but obviously a tier below those guys.

Absolutely.  It will be interesting to see which one separates himself in terms of championships won.  Can't sleep on Lamar either...and as long as Belichick is in New England, he could coach up Mac Jones to be a standout.

The 2nd call was blatant defensive PI, the first one was 100% holding if called by the rule but they weren't calling it all game. The Higgins TD was 100% offensive PI so it was a wash. Losing OBJ early really hurt the Rams, if he played the entire game I think they run away with it. Rams had 7 sacks and Miller/Donald were in the backfield the entire 2nd half.

The real superbowl was Chiefs Vs Bills. They would have beaten either team. Chiefs had a bad week 2 weeks ago in losing to Bengals. The top 2 favored teams going into next year are Chiefs and Bills using Vegas odds.

Hard to disagree.  It's the inconsistency with the calls more than anything that drives me crazy.  Chiefs are going to kick themselves over losing that game to Cincinnati.  The way they started, I thought they were going to score 40 or 50 and win going away. That said, Buffalo let them off the hook the week before, so maybe that evened out.  I definitely want to see KC/Buffalo Round 3 in next year's postseason.  A lot can happen between now and then but if they both stay relatively healthy, why not?

I wonder what this means for OBJ's future.  He's already had a couple of significant lower body injuries.  If a receiver loses that speed and ability to make cuts, it could greatly reduce their effectiveness.  Sounds like the Rams are going to have some cap problems and free agency/retirement defections soon also.  They really had to get it done yesterday because they might not have many more chances with the current roster.  The NFC could be wide-open next year.

Rogers so hard to warm up to, and his postseason history is not great. But...great regular season numbers.  I'd take him on the NYG over the current options...

I loved him earlier in his career but his diva-like tendencies have turned me off to him.  Doesn't take away from his incredible talent but he's definitely harder to root for now.  I'd take him on the Giants but the roster has so many holes right now, his impact might be limited.  By the time they're ready to win, he might be just about finished anyway.

It feels even colder today since it was 62° on Saturday. These big temperature swings are becoming more common. The 46° drop at ISP is the 2nd greatest on record for a 2 day period in February.

The warmth seemed to peak early on Saturday also.  Felt great in the morning but by mid-afternoon, it was noticeably cooler and there was a breeze kicking up.

The final drive flag fest really changed my perspective on the overall game which I thought was a good one.  Prevailing consensus on TWTR (the experts LOL) was that the initial PI call on the Bengals during the final drive was a makeup call for the missed offensive facemask on Cincy's TD at start of 2nd half. And then it's like they couldn't help themselves.   I'd like to think the refs are better than that but looked fishy to me given that almost no ticky tack penalties were called all game till that point.  Did the better team win? Probably but the Rams were just a shade better, not convincing...

True.  The difference between these teams is so narrow.  Look at how tight most of the playoff games were.  A couple of plays or calls can swing the outcome.  Except for the Wild Card game against the Cardinals, the Rams were living on the edge the entire postseason.  They nearly blew it against the Bucs and were down by ten in the 4th quarter against the 49ers.
