That band coming through the back edge looks absolutely insane.

My brother says it’s puking down by him in ellicott city
Had a brief slow down up here in UB, but heavier returns are back overhead. It’s perfect out there
My hometown. Always got good rates up on that little hill.

Ripping here. Maybe an inch on the ground, a little less.

Still SN-SN+. Salted sidewalks still wet but roads starting to cave.

Roads still wet. Hoping to reach that first inch.

Oh stop being a wet blanket…it’s going to snow plenty.
You're entitled to your opinion. It doesn't change what will happen. None of us win a ribbon for getting it right.

Gaithersburg airport has the ceiling dropping and better returns overhead. Should be snowing within the hour across most of Montgomery County.
The line of non-virga snow hasn’t moved in hours. Most of this will be passing through by the time it snows enough to bring temps down and really start accumulating. Climo won out tonight. Just not our night.

This really means nothing anymore for most feds. We just telework if we don’t go in.
Yep, my fiancé works at NARA, couldn’t care less if it snows.

You are agreeing with a post that says “this feels like a dusting on the grass” and then going with 1-3”.
The vast majority of guidance has been a 1-3”/2-4” type event for the last four days…..
Right. Because in the city it could easily be a dusting to less than an inch. See how that works? And one can generally agree to another’s point of view while retaining their own by using a skill called nuance.

For those of us in the DC metro, this reeks of waking up to a dusting on the grass. Seen this too many times before. Not expecting much whatsoever..
Glad those who missed Monday are cashing, tho!
Agreed. I’m in the NW burbs so I may fare a little better, but this is looking very familiar. The banding is getting forced NW. I’m sticking with 1-3”.

Light snow has started. 35 degrees. Snow started reaching the ground with a RH of 52%. Pretty rare.
I’ve actually never heard of this term. What does RH stand for?

Ah so the advisory they put out after seeing today's models don't reflect their true opinion. Makes sense.
By your reasoning, anything they put out reflects their thinking. So the latest thing they changed is probably the latest thinking. So let's not be unnecessarily aggro about our bad logic.
1-3" is probably more accurate.
