Congratulations! Have fun but don't get frostbite on the bum!
Meanwhile I have flurries for the nth straight day and a horny territorial robin who is attacking my downstairs window to protect its territory from its reflection. It has woken me up for way too early for the 4th day in a row by pecking at our windows.

I know it is a pain in the ass but when I saw the trees swaying in my back yard yesterday I was sort of hoping one or two would fall onto my shed. Eveything is insured and that would allow me to replace the shed with a new, better one and replace my snowmobile that is stored in the shed too. Oh well, no insurance claim filing for me. I hope you get stuff repaired and back to normal as quickly as possible.

If winter 2020/21 rats out in NNE, we now have a scapegoat
Eyewall could finally be off the hook and no longer be the jinx.

Randolph once received 56 inches from a single storm. Nov. 22-23, 1943
Congrats, I hope the pool is heated.
I think we know who is hosting the next NNE thread get together!

Much like the sun's seasonal movement away from the equator has gradually brought an to winter, the sun's rise over the hill to the east rapidly melted our new coating of snow. The meltwater dropping off the roof splashed off the front steps like so many NE snow enthusiasts tears splashed off there keyboards with each new model run this winter.

You should be happy that auto-correct left this alone or else you would be in the doghouse for awhile.

Looking to buy 30+ acres in NNE.
What would be a good general area to search, proximity to a ski place is a must. Otherwise, not many requirements. Big snow, too, obviously!
One thing to also consider is whether you like big storms or lots of little ones. For instance, Woodford VT in far southern VT jackpots on virtually every coastal storm whereas things up in the NE of Vermont frequently get shadowed by the Whites in some of the bigger storms. In the 7 years I lived in Peacham we never got more than 15 inches in a storm but a couple years ago here in Norwich we got 18 inches twice int the same week but in Peacham there were times when in snowed everyday for weeks on end.

We had enough to whiten the parts of the ground which had been in the shade when the sun was warming things in the AM. It is almost all melted now.

Up here I typically view the seasons as:
Dec 1 to March 31- Winter
April 1 to May 1 - Mud
May 1 to July 1 - Spring
July 1 to July 15 - Summer
July 16 to July 31- Late Summer
August 1 to August 31- Wait isn't this supposed to be summer why is that leaf red?
Sept 1 to Nov 1- Fall
Nov 1 to Dec 1 - Do everything outside you can before the snow sets in while rooting for snow and hoping it holds off until the snow tires get put on next Tuesday.
There is of course some year to year variations.
