    Where's Brian ?

    - we need to petition him to institute a limitation on the use of the word Blizzard - I don't care how fascist it is to limit free speech, at some point we gotta throw hands

Didn't we move on from using "Blizzard" last season?  Isn't the correct term now "Blizzardcane!!!"

  2. Sad news from Charlotte

    https://www.wcax.com/2022/11/22/2-dead-helicopter-crash-interstate-charlotte/

Meteorologist Jason Myers and pilot Chip Tayag, who worked for Charlotte television station WBTV, were killed in a helicopter crash early Tuesday afternoon.

WBTV, which is owned by Gray Media Group, Inc., issued the following statement about the crash:

“The WBTV family is grieving a terrible loss. Our news helicopter Sky3 crashed mid-day Tuesday with two of our colleagues on board. Meteorologist Jason Myers and pilot Chip Tayag lost their lives. We are working to comfort their families in this difficult time. We appreciate the outpouring of support for our staff and your continued prayers for their families.”

  3. I wish I knew this song before Springsteen released his cover this week.  It could have been this summer's theme song:

Day in, day out, my tear stained face
    Pressed against the window pane
My eyes, they search the skies desperately for rain
'Cause raindrops will hide my teardrops
And no one will ever know
That I'm crying (crying), I'm crying
    Yeah, when I go outside
To the world outside, my tears I refuse to explain
Oh, I wish it would rain
(Oh, how I wish that it would rain)
I'm a man and I got my pride
'Til it rains I'm gonna stay inside (let it rain)
Let it rain (let it rain)
    Oh, let it rain

I work down in Hanover and it rained almost all day down there, almost on the verge of heavy a couple of times. Maybe I was just far enough east to get some of that. The brooks are flowing pretty good.

We had 1.06 at the station around the corner from our house in Norwich.  Good drink

I saw cameras and the border patrol does have a presence. I imagine it's a pain for those living in the houses on the Vermont side of QC247 just to leave their driveways.

Here you can see a CBP suv at the hilltop watching who drives into Vermont to make sure they stop at the port of entry:

The red apartment building is split by the border as well.

There's an Irving station in Derby line that was filled with Quebecois getting gas. The price was about 10 cents higher than further down 91 at the next exit, but that's still lower than Quebec gas. The store employees inside were even fluent in French.

Then came the Post 9/11 crackdown:

Hopefully, that sounds awesome.  Record maxes right now are still in the 70s here.  Record mins in the teens.

Today is a dream.  Left work early, grabbing the dog to go wander the mountains until it gets dark.

    57/26 and full sun.

Hopefully you caught a good view of the sunset tonight.  Nice color over the Greens as I left the office.
