  1. Is it the infamous, always talked about but rarely happens, pattern breakdown beatdown storm? Going to be another week of tracking, which is better than last year.
  2. I wish we could trade futures or draft picks...I will give you my next 2 winters for that storm but with my luck that storm ends up like Dwayne Haskins.
  3. Man, all those that worship at the altar of the Euro may need to change denominations...looking at you NBC12 First Alert Weather Days and DT.
  4. When you need a beach house for snow...you know you live in Richmond.
  5. I would have to agree. This feels, as they referenced in the DC centric main thread, I-95 blowback induced.
  6. It's not bad for a college town. Some good places to eat. Enjoy the view. Are you doing Hotel Madison?
  7. Yeah, beggars cannot be choosers. Congrats I-81 for sure. Did not expect much from the winter anyhow. Give me enough snow for a fire on Sunday with some Screwball peanut butter bourbon and football on the tube and I will muddle through.
  8. Ho hum, well, when you see our thread dead for 17 hours, you know that we don't have a lot of posters in our thread and two, we don't expect too much this Sunday. I guess that beats when our thread is dead from March to November.
  9. Are you familiar with the movie Scanners?
  10. Yeah, we never do well with these and I was surprised by school delay in Henrico just based on forecast. I had some dandruff on my grill cover this morning but that was the only evidence I saw that anything occurred.
  11. Agree. If we wake up to an 1" on the ground just to remind us it's still January, it's a win. Hoping that DT's woof MLK storm stays on the horizon and pans out.
  12. Still a little goodbye flurry downtown as blue skies proceed in west to east.
  13. I love snow but would love to retire/live in that area more...I think.
  14. Agreed, it's nice to have winter look and feel like winter once in a while. Wish I were home and could use some of the firewood up. Fingers crossed for more opportunities, they are always complicated setups for us. Once, I would like us to be in the bullseye a few days out and remain there or have the storm south enough so when it does inevitably trend north, we reap the benefits. Update, sun peaking through that clouds just a bit now.
  15. Cool, hope it freezes up solid tonight to give us a winter landscape for a day or two
  16. Yeah, I mean looking out my window, I know it melted a bit and was wet but did RIC even get an 1"?
  17. Agree. Even downtown has snow globe effect now
  18. Roads downtown finally starting to whiten
  19. Yeah, I mean it's sad to say that lawns are finally starting to cave, Kanawha Plaza, still yellow/white.
  20. I am downtown now, live in Tuckahoe. View from 15th floor of James Center, not even sticking to grass, hill by Afton (near war memorial) clear and yellow and the Fed lawn, always in good shape is clean and green, mulch accumulations downtown only.
  21. That would be a nice surprise. I was having my coffee watching/waiting for the transition and while agonizing, it is much more pleasant to watch winter weather transition in this direction opposed to the other. Where we watch and listen for the mixing as it moves through our area and knew it was the end.
  22. finally more snow and sleet in Tuckahoe. Shaved ice look in the deck at the moment
