    I would be lying if I said that had not crossed my mind every winter for that past 7. It really feels that way, and not just Central VA and Tidewater, but along the whole I-95 corridor. It only makes sense tracking ocean temps, it takes a lot off the table for us. I am just a weather geek, not my profession but it's really hard to ignore the reality that has been presented. I hope we can still get the occasional lucky thread the needle type scenario.

    50 mph! Batten down the decorations. I am glad I don't do any inflatables, for multiple reasons, but the mortality rate on those suckers could be high if that forecast holds.

    I am good with that amount, my Christmas lights were shorting out with the 3" from the past Sunday.

    Richmonders forget how to drive in between just annual snows, it has been so long that I can't fathom the level of ineptitude 5-7" after a snowless year last year would introduce.

    Any December snow, shoot, any snow and the even the possibility are welcome. While I hate being above average in early December, it gives me hope as it seems to be following the playbook that most seasoned mets have pointed to when forecasting this winter season.

    My first and only white Birthday (11/12/70) my senior year in high school, think we were sledding with the plastic red cafeteria trays as I don't think we got out of school, I may have to check that one.

    Thanks again for rattling the cage RIC Airport. Just need Midlo to post in this thread to get some good snow making ju-ju working and then I will feel confident we will not be uttering the word 3-peat come April.

    Yes, it looks like a bomb went off down the Grove Avenue corridor on my way to work. Popped up quick to the south of Tuckahoe and winds were impressive, reports of hail but I did not get any (in Tuckahoe) limbs and trees down, power outage over 100K at peak.

    I didn't even watch the show but I think it is from Game of Thrones and Winter is Coming -- the sword kind of gave it away for me as I think they have a replica of it with the phrase on Big Bang Theory

    Such a shame. I want to retire to the beach at some point but then I think I give up snow. To me snow falling at the beach has got to be like when it's falling on Halloween Town in The Nightmare before Christmas...What's this? What's this?

    Seeing a few flakes mix in now. LDUB23, include your location, Assumed you were RVA but when you say RVA will cash in also, that must not be the case.
