GFS looking similar to the ICON so far, even down to the thermals. We may be in for a primarily rain event as depicted. Not a forecast.

Just messing around. You’ll probably do better than me. Or maybe we both fail. Doesn’t matter in the big scheme of life.
Going to the ABC store either way. I hope you're right and wrong. May the snow fall in your backyard.

I think no matter what happens we can all agree RIC is not getting snow from this event. It happens. I wanted an egg sandwich the other day but we ran out. I was sad but realized it wasn’t meant to be. I had toast.
I'm all for it! I rather move forward than to keep getting my hopes up.

We are going to be ok guys.
As long as everything happens on Monday... Seems to be EURO vs all. Will see if the EURO caves in later.

DT's "blog" is stating that there could be three events.
3/1 - DC, NoVA, Western MD Hit
3/3-3/4 NoVA, DC, All of MD. RIC gets 1"
3/5-3/6 All of the subforum should be happy.

As long as it's not on the 6th, we are good. Timing seems to be up in the air from what I've seen.

I feel like the HRDPS has too much of a dry slot in Central VA. Given how much the radar has shown, we weren't expecting the amount of moisture it has provided thus far

If the HRRR is right (I don't think it will be) and DC gets 1" of snow... Closing the night before would be embarrassing.
There is too much moisture..

34 and ready for my fully stocked winter wx buffet
Just to clear the air and not derail this thread... I took a break for 2 reasons. 1) was burned out and not enjoying myself at all around here and 2) have some important stuff (all good) going on in my personal life. I said I'd be back for obs and here I am. Let's do this man.
I missed you. See the radar?

Precip aloft is closing in on the radar site. It's a weenie radar but the atmosphere is moistening up to our SW. A little early imo....
Radar indicated that a lot is happening early and not "forecasted". 12z runs will be interesting

GFS and FV3 are seeing something different. Seems like there is Dry Air that is quick to move in.
