  1. Lol I lived there for 10 years . Never met a patio that was a problem keeping someone from a pool , nobody has this problem outside of maybe shady acres . Most are screened in . It’s mid 90’s and humidity or low 90’s at beach . Maybe it’s an issue in Vegas at 115
  2. If you got a boat or are at the beach it’s one thing and usually cooler otherwise that weather is pointless without water nearby
  3. Currently i have my beach chair in water and am enjoying Craigsville beach . Water temp says 78 ..this bay like spot has mildest water I’ve seen in SNE
  4. I mean if you live in the CP of SNE and see as much winter rain (or more) as snow I would want to get out And either move to real winter or if I liked high dews move south . Many folks who enjoy winter that much and snow live or have a condo up and in .
  5. I think people move (When they are older ) much more because they never liked snow and now they have the financial and career freedom to do so
  6. It’s a shame we are gonna miss out on anomalous heat . Like tippy said after 8/10 your not going to get your all time stuff so ya maybe More of the mid July stuff toward mid month .
  7. Tap twice at the first stall @ electric blue ..rev’s beeper will buzz
  8. Folks running from storms as they trip over the 2ply stuck to their bottoms ?
  9. That’s a great link 2016-2021 was higher than normal for Ace . I had to look up 2005 as well , that season was nonstop insane
  10. Big drops on Woburn/ Burlington line. Just grazed
  11. Has it been a tear since 2017 in Ace, they seem to name anything that spins lately but I like measuring activity by Ace a good bit more than total storms named . I don’t have the stats for ACE but I will find them and you may be right that it’s been super active . I know we have had many monsters the last 5 years , heck I flew to Florida for Dorian but he never came on shore (thankfully )
  12. Has the NHC or anyone ever forecast a Substantially below normal season of activity . when the NHC calls for an average season i assume there is a substantially better than normal chance it will be below normal . It’s almost always safer over forecasting than under forecasting and much more forgivable should you miss . I definitely understand it’s extremely early in the season.
  13. Some garbage rains in CT now mid morning messing up the chance of getting those steep low level lapse rates , you hate to see it , thou maybe some one still sees good storms late and wxwatcher if SNE had 70 mph winds in a few reports in Eastern areas “everyone” would have cream in their pants , some would be upset they got nothing but they would acknowledge the day was Part of a significant Outbreak ..but as we know ..not gonna happen
  14. Doesn’t look that impressive thou . Looks warm n muggy but we got a nice week break and ya I know it’s an ensemble at days 12-15.
  15. Politics has even begun to enter the realm of science in some areas . Anywhere profit is possible and politics intersects you can take the science preached behind it and really you can ...take it fully at its word if it comforts you to hold your belief system together instead of the annoying option of losing that compass of knowledge Or realizing it’s now subject to shadiness . It always retains some truth but the devil is in the spin/ details 79f
  16. Without a pool very little time During 11-5 . I can’t imagine having to do football practice or all the town camps that are running on days like this or doing roofing
  17. It’s flawed unless the folks who created the heat index anticipated measuring how how it feels out in sunshine with everyone wearing sombrero hats. Mexican dilfs .
  18. Not really but lol I’m moving on . The public (not this board although some may ) assumes the heat index on a sunny day measures the effective temperature in the Sunshine where they are playing sports outside or at lake or pool etc. They would be confused why it actually doesn’t . They aren’t hiding under trees
  19. This isn’t complicated really heat index measures how hot it feels in a shaded area . That’s why I think it’s flawed bc it doesn’t account for sunshine if the NHC wanted to use your Davis (and others ) which gives a good estimation of temp in sun that would be great and I wouldn’t have made my original point but they ..don’t so my point was it seems flawed (obviously for official stations )
