I will say come on spring. Give me warm rains. Ice and sleet sucks. I hate winter anymore. After seeing the videos of the Ft. Worth pileup just with a .10 of ice. No thanks. Bust models. -
That’s just cruel. Winter hates mid TN. It would take forever for that much sleet to melt. Tornadoes to ice dams in gutters. Unreal. Plus roof damage.

How reliable is the GFS this close to the event?

Just hope this is not where Middle TN watched East and now West TN enjoy winter while we continue with cold rains even next week.

Very sad to think parts of TN if this happens a disaster area. The landscape will be forever changed. Tornadoes now this.

It was 46 at Clarkesville state line at Hopkinsville it was 44 now at Cadiz Kentucky it’s 35. I’ve been watching my thermostat on my truck now two more miles north is 33

I loved living in East Tn growing up. Miss my mountains.

Not at all saying not to discuss. I love wx but winter wx is extremely hard to forecast. Maybe it’s me but to me winter forecast are much harder than any other season to forecast.

Call me skeptical. Another 7-9 day chance at winter wx. The mirage stays at that distance and never gets closer. Try to keep positive but after 3 winters the same eventually become woke and say just a mirage.

It was 62 in Knoxville today? Sheesh here in Nashville barley above freezing.

It is pretty crazy four days ago it was predicted to be sunny and 55 here then two days ago it was 45 and cloudy now the high is 32 to 33 and cloudy.

Well growing up with snow and never seeing it. Well it gets to one. Being a realist is not being a downer. We bit on the gfs and really should know better. Take a look many others are frustrated in mid TN and west TN. It’s not just me.

Well GFS and CMC are all alone and most likely will come back to reality any day now. Warm rains are on the way.

Amazing reports in GA and SC and NC with 2-3”. Snow dome over Mid and west TN going strong.

Will be interesting what the Doc says. He may say 75 and severe storms with way he’s been going.

I feel sorry for the forecasters this week. Sheesh. The GEFS mean seems to be trending colder again. Now most of state is in more ice. What a cluster to try and forecast.

Appreciate. Flooding rains in order possibly. From all indications the pattern flips to warm solidly in couple weeks. After another disappointing minor snow events I am ready.

To say this would not be catastrophic and dangerous with that much ice and cold temps to me is an understatement.
