This going to be another promising long range storm that becomes a polished turd?
With our luck it will be.

^You two probably want it where it is right now. Bigger risk of you ultimately sweating precip type than a whiff south, imo.
I sure hope so lol.

Is it just me or is Indy missing big snows from every direction ? Seems like Chicago, Cinci, Pittsburgh have all had bigger snows than Indy this winter.
We always miss. What happened yesterday and last night with 2 waves of snow north and south of us was so typical of us

Totally believeable based on Champaign riding the screw line, as has been the theme this winter.

Looks like one hell of a pattern for I-80 north. Congrats.

Not seeing the typical plaster snow that was expected. Seeing a dry slot in S IN working its way behind this incoming heavy WAA band. Hopefully the main system moves east some, fills it in, before it gets here. An inch so far, and its not wet. Sure it will be later as that LLJ cranks in a few hours. No rain which is good. Warm LL temps weren't forecast to really make a march N here until 06-09Z Shall see, just SN atm. Hoosier and ChicagoWX know where I'm at so of course it had to start with pingers. Always a damn pinger mixed in there somewhere around here lol.
That small dry slot could be a good thing. May even aid in more evap cooling. HRRR has shown it for a while

I'd lean no, but the quick start to 2" certainly helps.
We're already doing better than what most were predicting so I'm happy

Unofficial report of 2.5” in Bloomington, IN.
That's already more than the local tv guys had for them.

LMAO! Somebody in Indiana must be getting thunder snow, if not they're about to!
Still never experienced that. Even when I was younger living in The UP don't remember it

The model that had a foot or whatever at IND?
I'd take it

This is an odd storm. Farther south we started out as snow while Chicago and Northern Ill and Eastern Iowa rain and wintry mix.

Some of the best snows right now are in central IN. Both LAF and IND down to 1/2 mile.
Confirmed. Very heavy snow where I'm at now. Definitely hardest I've seen in a few years

Just give me a week of clippers like the old days
I swear we havent seen a pattern like that in years. 13-14 last good one but I remember it was common in the 2000s winters also
