Detroit had 16.7" Feb 1/2, 2015.
Indys luck sucks too. 1978 last really big one. I think the biggest storm ever was over 16 inches in like 1910 or something lol. Southern Indiana even had a historic storm with the Pre Christmas 2004 Storm where some places got 24-30" plus

Meanwhile me here in Central Indiana feeling left out like always.

Seems like its been forever since I've seen a pattern like this in our area. Definitely since 2011

Feels like an ef5 will never happen again I swear.

That's interesting, I associate La Nina with flooding and , particularly late spring of 2008. The last 10 days of May through the first two weeks of June were practically non-stop thunderstorms with multiple tornado outbreaks and major river flooding for much of the Midwest.
I miss springs with severe weather and storms all the time. Seems like indy hasn't had much of them since 2011. I remember the June 7 2008 flood here

C'mon down here with us Interstate Kitchen Sink er 70 posters, we'll toughen you up lol.
They have no idea. Our weather underwhelms, is boring, or lets us down like 90% of the time. Typical our luck. This monster storm and were 40 degree and rain

I miss when winters were colder and snowier than average like most of the 2000s and 2013 14

I just miss the winters in the 2000s besides 2001-02 and early to mid 2010s except of course 11-12. Seems like its sucked ever since 2015 honestly. Indys been way below average in snow every year since then. 2017-18 was probably closest to average.

Obviously I like where I'm at just west of indy. Rare I have this feeling

Hope that it disappears because if I can't have snow, I don't want anyone else to have it. We all think that way...
Might as well have it shift to minn and Dakota at this point

Always my favorite model to look at lol. I miss the days it seemed to always give extreme amounts. Still sometimes does but not like 5-10 plus years ago

Tough one. I'm 32 years old and have lived in Indianapolis for 18 years now. I'll list a few that are up there though. May 30, 2004 because it was the first big severe weather outbreak day I really remember and I had just moved to Indy from the UP of Michigan about a month earlier. December 22-23 2004 for obvious reasons lol. April 14, 2006 I experienced the most intense still in my life thunderstorm with baseball size hail and 90 mph winds. January 27-28 2009 winter storm we're Indy got 12.5 inches. My house i measured 14!. July 20, 2011 highest heat index I've been in 116 with 98 degrees and 79 dew point. January 5 2014 Polar Vortex Storm. Favorite outside my area probably 4/27/2011 5/22/2011

Big whiff south here. Very typical.
Same. Where I'm at in a west suburbs of Indy it hasn't rained at all since June 13th. Wish I could see good storms with constant lightning again. Feels like we always miss the fun
