  1. GFS is wandering around drunk this run.
  2. I don't get the back and forth with it having tropical storm force winds or hurricane force winds farther inland. The last update had hurricane forcewinds inland, and now it is back to tropical storm force. Everything I have seen today has said Flo is getting stronger, and could be a cat 4 or 5 at landfall. That to me says the hurricane force winds should be farther inland once it comes in. Very confusing.
  3. Yes it is a pretty good spread. But the tightest clusters appear to be between the SC/NC border and Morehead City. Right now that looks like the are to bet on for landfall. Of course, where and what direction she goes after hitting land has a big implication on how bad things will be inland.
  4. I think somewhere between Cape Fear and Morehead City is a good bet for landfall.
  5. UK a little NE of the last Euro run. Maybe end up somewhere in the middle of those.
  6. Looks like hurricane force based on the latest track from the NHC.
  7. Pray the GFS is on to something. Maybe the stronger Flo gets, the better chance it turns out to sea.
  8. Looks like Flo is starting to hulk up.
  9. Worst possible scenario for the Triangle.
  10. They have it as a hurricane farther inland now.
  11. I know UNC-Wilmington has canceled class for the week and told the students to go home. I hope the colleges in the mountains like App State, UNC-Ashville, and Western Carolina are going to do the same.
  12. Going to be interesting to see what the models do today. It looked like they were coming into agreement until the Euro went south again last night. Looks like the NHC track stayed the same, though.
  13. So, the GFS comes in line with the Euro, and then the Euro goes further south into SC. Madness.
  14. Pretty much the worst possible track for me.
  15. Fran had gusts up to 79 mph here. I am assuming with Flo being a cat 4 that we could have even bigger gusts than with Fran.
  16. Yeah, only thing that would save NC is if the models are wrong and Flo goes west longer. Of course, that is bad for SC.
  17. And looks like it could be the worst case scenario for the Triangle.
  18. Hoping it does weaken fast once it comes inland. Looks like the NHC has it down to 70mph now instead of 100 mph like before once it comes inland.
  19. Keep hoping this turns and goes out to sea, or it never gets to a big hurricane. But this looks really bad for NC.
  20. That really makes me sad. My favorite place in NC.
