  1. Eh. Forecast was 1/2” and we got 2”+. That’s not really “noise” when it comes to snowfall forecast for a light event. 1/2” v 2” matters much more from a travel perspective. 2” is much more disruptive than 1/2”
  2. Yes a nice surprise for the island. The HRRR showed this in its later runs, but didn’t show 2-3” for Nassau/Suffolk.
  3. Snow plow keeps going by but it’s seems unnecessary…maybe worried about ice later? Road sounds like it’s taking a beating
  4. 2 inches in Suffolk. Not a single model showed that. Pleasantly surprised! Snow continues and it’s 28. feels like years since it’s snowed when it’s been below 30 degrees
  5. At least whatever falls will stick. Temp dropping to freezing now and dew at 30., so we can wetbulb to around 31
  6. Two schools of thought…run it out or keep adding stabilizer. For the snowblower i run it out. For the boat I keep the tank full and add stabilizer after the final fill up.
  7. One day we’ll get another Juno/Nemo storm out here, until then the snowblower remains in the back of the garage without gas…
  8. It’s been absolutely dumping snow in Melville for an hour and there is zero snow on the ground, car tops etc lol. Maybe because it’s relatively built up down here and above freezing, but also expected
  9. I’m in Melville today and it’s coming down. Visibility dropping below a mile. Maybe we get a coating on colder surfaces
  10. He’s not actually. It’s 37 degrees. No matter how hard it snows during the day today it’s not sticking in the city (on the roads). Enjoy the mood flakes but relax a bit
  11. Agreed! Those were good times!
