Westhampton is 91/68 with a heat index of 95.

farmingdale is 95 with a Heat index of 96. high end heat for Long Island.

We’ve had many very humid days down in the city/island. Maybe in westchester it’s different (I doubt it) 96 now

This absolutely will be one of the longest heatwaves on record for many. i started keeping records in 2012 and this is going to be the longest streak.

There has also been almost no rain down there the past few weeks. Between the lack of rain and the w/nw winds they will roast. 94 here now.

Wind still out of the north, so all of LI is roasting, FRG up to 90 already at 10 am… 90 here as well, my area typically doesn’t do as well when winds are from the north because of my proximity to the sound

Fake seabreeze moved in and just pumped up the dewpoint back to 70

No way that map is accurate. Areas in northern nassau and Suffolk are 4-5” and only show an inch or so. my area is around 2.75”-3”, and further north even more.

The difference between the south shore and north shore is wild. Not sure I’ve ever seen a gradient like that.
