Lee Goldberg just called out Upton, it was awesome. He said Mt Holly handled it right with the Winter Storm Warning and Upton divided the storm into two different time periods (Thursday and Friday) when in fact most of the event will occur on Thursday. He said better coordination is needed between the offices and what Upton did was "confusing."
Did Lee Goldberg call out Upton for being too conservative? That would be dramatic.

I remember a dude arguing with the staff at Home Depot because they were out of salt; I said, friend, don't worry about it. You won't need it. He was like what? I said the storm has been canceled. No one there believed me....
Ah, I forgot. It's almost the 20 year anniversary for this bust.

We have been burned worse by Miller B's though; pretty sure the infamous March 2001, now almost 20 years ago, phased too late for us....
No matter how many storms we chase, no matter how many winters we'll have, March 2001 takes the title for being the biggest bust in history for snow lovers.

Is this going to be enough to declare a snow emergency?

So a foot of sleet in the next week, on top of half an inch of ice, on top of 30" half melted, brown snow. Fun times!

I’ll take sleet over rain definitely

- snow weenie
I don't know one weather weenie that ever roots for freezing rain. Even sleet sucks, but every now and then it can offer something interesting. I've never seen the coast have anything more than .10 of an inch as freezing rain.

It would be fun if we could get a winter of snow like the tropics had a summer of hurricanes!

I'm SO confused. I've never heard of any winter where two 10"+ snowstorms impacted the NYC Metro area a week apart.

We are still counting snowfall from this last storm. And still snowing after 4 days.so imagine another 6 to 9 inches..some might reach 40+ inches in less then a weeks time with more winter to go.
After 40+ inches of snow and arctic temperatures, I imagine people will be very happy if we get an early spring.

A 6 inch snowfall after a 2 foot snowfall is icing on the cake.

Will the coast snow again during this storm?

WABC still predicting 6-12 for the city. CBS is saying 6-12, and NBC is saying 12-18.

Can we get some Blizzard Warnings hoisted from Upton or no?

Channel 7 says 6-10" for the city. What a joke.

We getting NAM'd good on this run.
So two nights ago, the NAM was just coming into range and it was trustworthy. Last night, it wasn't trustworthy. Is the NAM trustworthy tonight?

NAM gets the overrunning pretty far north but it’s the long range NAM
I thought the long range NAM was good? Yesterday it was good. Today it's bad? So confusing.
