I am told that current New City Rockland county temp is still holding at 39 ( but I can tell you that it feels much colder ) and DP is at 19,,,,,,let the pigeons loose as we have been waiting months for this !

This was the 18z HRRR.
Falls in line with my thinking.
Cut off on under 6" amounts should be on a general line from Paterson to Paramus to White Plains. 3-5" still looks good for places just West of NYC and the North shore of LI. Lesser amounts for the South shore, Central NJ, Southern Westchester and areas North of the Bear Mount bridge in the Hudson Valley, except for the higher elevations in Ulster/Sullivan. South of the Sunrise Highway could see very little.
When is the HRRR in its wheelhouse ( is it 12 or 18 hours prior to event ) are we within its comfort zone yet ?

Please no banding comments. Every storm, someone says it will come down to banding.
I’m good with “ no banding “ comments or “ Kuchera “ maps but wet bulb temps are a must any other rules before we get started ? Current New City Temp 39

The night before the snowfall that could provide ten times as much snow vs. what we've had this entire winter through almost the end of February and there's nobody posting on the Euro. Might have to give you folks a timeout, lol. Anyway, not going to do analysis, other than to say the output is very similar to 18Z, which is good, as other models have pulled back a bit on snowfall vs. 18Z (not hugely, but moreso on the southern fringes, i.e., where I live).
You speak the truth but in all fairness I think that people are so beaten down by this winter that they wont believe anything (even if the morning models hold serve) until they see it outside their windows

quickly realizing that i dont own a shovel and my complex will have the lot plowed... welp where tf do you buy a shovel at the end of february?
Home Depot still has em in fact most places should have them probably overstocked as I am fairly certain that not many shovels were sold this year

Imo thats way overdone, I could be wrong but I’d lean toss.
You might be right but which model has it correct right now ? Probably none of them but we will find out soon enough

I grew up in Brooklyn and I have been to both Central Park and ( I saw Simon and Garfunkel and quite a few others there but I stray ) Prospect park many times and here is my advice if you plan on visiting either one of these beautiful, cultural, historical, lovely places = Do NOT Go to either one at Night and do NOT walk barefoot as you might step in something that did NOT come out of a dog in other news it is currently 27 degrees in New City

If we could get a separate set of equipment to measure weather info at Prospect Park that would be awesome, I've been going there since I was 5....I used to play frisbee there with my Dad!
Anthony / MJO loves the snow and he still lives in Bklyn so maybe he will do us a solid and Skitch on over to prospect park on snowy days with his yardstick in hand ? Just a thought

truly unchartered waters this winter as we actually have something to track and do model comparisons on,,,,feel as though I just saw a Bigfoot

If this winter’s not an F I can’t think of one that possibly could be. Flowers shooting up in mid February and bugs everywhere sitting on generously 1.5” for the season and no real threat to speak of (I don’t consider 2/28 a real threat yet where I am unless by some miracle it trends away from being another crap SWFE). Whatever takes this horse behind the barn and puts it out of its misery sooner, the better. GTFO “Winter” 22-23.
If the professor were grading this winter on a curve, even taking into consideration the few cold days that we had it would still be an F,,, how about a double F ?
