    You know it’s been a solid cold winter thus far when some are having to post 720 hour maps to show a flip to warm.

    Agree. And of course it’s going to warm up sometime, we don’t live in Buffalo. But even the 2m map of the euro he posted above shows 0-1 degree C above average here.

    If I saw the ice accum map correctly, looked like .25-.50 of ice in CAD areas just east of blue ridge on 0Z Euro. That’s WSW criteria

    Be curious as to what the Euro says. GFS wants to send the low to the gulf. CMC semi cuts and transfers I believe.

    CMC is still icy. GFS is too at the onset, just minimal qpf on the GFS

    The CAD will be even more impressive IMO once this snowpack is laid to out north and east. Actually kind of scary how the globals are already picking up on that much ice this far out. CAD always trends stronger closer to event.

    Something weird happens between 42-45. Precip looks great at 42 then poof at 45. Not buying that a bit.

    Mark I got a feeling some folks just a mile or two from each other are gonna be disappointed. Going to be such a sharp gradient in regards to precip and BL temps. Fine line.
