Yeah the updated NWS radar app sucks bad. Idk who developed that but everyone that mentions it gives it 0 stars and I agree.
Here the radar link...https://www.wunderground.com/radar/us/ny/binghamton/bgm
Itll probably weaken for sure but hopefully that gets off set by some lake enhancement for the south shore and northern finger lakes region. Haven't checked the models in a while though.
Yeah the models were hitting the upsloping along the eastern hills of the catskills almost every run it seems while also downsloping western parts of the county.
Yeah had that at times as well. Kuchera might be well over done with this storm or atleast for parts of the storm or in different geographical areas. Perhaps the standard 10:1 is a more closer match.
Yeah idk, you have some nice banding in your vicinity atleast. Hopefully it's somewhat close to accurate. Maybe it's a better lake effect model. I actually didn't even know there was a higher resolution rgem til a few days ago.
It's out to 0z Wednesday attm. It's coming in with a bit less precip for south shore compared to 18z which shouldn't be too surprising as that 18z run was definitely a bit extreme.
Side note, def gonna be some 30+ totals out of Northern Poconos east/southeast of Scranton in Carbon, Monroe, and Pike County region. They been getting banded for hours now with no end in site. Models def pegged that one.
