Yeah I honestly hate to sound like this but im sick... this is awful for the forum.

If this trend holds, I will never trust guidance again until we are within 48 hrs of the event. I just cant believe what im seeing. Small wobbles back and forth were to be expected but this is insane.

If this holds, this will go down as an epic model failure. Just unreal stuff here. Its done went so far north that northern VA is mixing.

We need the bleeding to stop even at this juncture

0z GEFS was a slight bump north but basically held from 18z.

UK is north as well. Not a good trend right now yall. Hopefully we can turn it around tomorrow.

0z ICON snow beat down into VA.. but was fairly close to what 18z was showing except heavier precip on 0z.

0z NAM looked like it would definitely be north of what the GFS showed.

Here's my 2 cents... Climatology speaking, there will be significant icing after Heavy Snow this weekend. The question is where does that ICE line set up and when? Even up here in southern VA, its difficult to get a pure snowstorm like this one without having some icing. Honestly, Its hard to not get upset with the models trending north but in the overall scheme, there is absolutely nothing we can change about that. They could trend back south tomorrow and Thursday. Its hard to say. But whether its snow or ice or both. The Carolinas and Virginia are getting this Winter Storm. Just a matter of how much we are getting is the ? Let's see what 0z and 6z show.
