    Not sure if anyone else saw this. Could be a possible collision of two inactive space satellites almost over our heads at 6:39pm tonight. If there is a collision it could be visible to us down on the ground.

    Blizzard of 77 anniversary. Ugh sucks having to see all these pictures of a real winter! Interesting comparison one of the stations posted comparing this season to that season. These stats are up to the day BEFORE the blizzard started.

    Today last year we were heading into our week long 60” lake effect blitz! Day 1 saw 12-18” across the metro area with a record 17.2” at the airport. Had close to 14” here.

    We haven’t had a real snow pack here almost all winter. Just saw one of the local mets mention BUF has only 4 days with 6”+ of snow on the ground. Those days were all in November following that 12” synoptic storm. Normal winter we see 25 days of 6”+ snow on the ground. Right now maybe an inch of icy slop on the ground. .

    Eh for how cruddy this winter has been guess I did ok with this one. 2” of slop from the synoptic, 1” from the Erie band overnight, 2” of fluff bombs from the ontario streamers. That snow burst earlier was just beautiful. Snow globe type snow... Surprised we got 2” out of those streamers. .
