    Noticed that the low tonight in Joplin is 33.... its currently 32 there.

    Yep. I don't think I would write this off in NWA yet. Ice/sleet looking most likely, but I think this has surprise potential down there.

    Gonna get a decent mixed bag down there. Advisory for 1-3'' snow and up to .2'' ice. Could be worse.

    Someone may get a foot in SWMO on this NAM run. Edit: Dropped a foot about 10 miles from my driveway.

    Its still initializing several degrees too warm. No idea if that changes anything or not.

    GFS is very warm. Seems like most are discounting it at this point. NAM is heavy ice, Euro/Canadian are much snowier.

    Is the Winter storm watch for NWA new?

    The 12km NAM appears to be the closest with surface temps for the Springfield metro so far.

    The GFS has not backed down at all.

    It is running about 2 degrees too warm at the surface already though. Will be interesting to watch as the day goes along.

    I honestly don’t remember the last time I was under a winter storm watch. This feels weird

    Looks to be way south to me

    Looks that way in Oklahoma, but it is better for us in Missouri. In OK, it is slightly NW, but the band is more narrow.
