The cells east of the line are the ones to watch for any real discrete action and to see if they go supercellular or not. THere are a few popping up near GSP and west of Augusta, GA.

We definitely have increasing dewpoints and more sun popping out. Mesoanalysis shows building SB CAPE. 0-6km is around 30 knots for now over Raleigh.

They have cut the tor risk to 5% this morning.

Total lunar eclipse overnight tonight with totality beginning at 2:26am EDT. There will be clouds to doge but hopefully the window of clearing holds as it would be right around that time for western & central NC.

We would have pulled our hair out if that was snow to our south yesterday and last night.

I did get a witness report that at Leesville Rd/Millbrook Rd. where the damage was from this that a car was shifted slightly and it did get very loud.

The second day was awesome and I was up by Falls Lake. Felt like New England.

I would go with a solid B for this winter. I reserve A ratings for a 6 inch plus event having to occur. Either way it felt much better because of the previous years of nothing.

These were taken near the intersection of Leesville Rd. and Lynn Rd. in north Raleigh as a tornado warned supercell embedded within a line came through. If a tornado was present it would have been wrapped in the rain shaft you see in the second shot. The first shot shows more of the overall structure and the base of the storm (taken at 12:14pm). The last shot is my position at the time compared to the radar image (Taken at 12:17pm). There was some localized tree damage the intersection of Leesville Rd and Millbrook road that was not present in areas surrounding. If it was from a tornado it would likely be EF-0 damage.

yeah they are warning any kink in the line as something can spinup real quick.
