Nah im fine, you however should find a new hobby besides being a main character to a place that is rapidly growing tired of you

If you're fine, you gotta chill a bit and accept different viewpoints.  Like I said, I'm just here to discuss the weather.  It sounds like you prefer echo chamber forums, which isn't healthy discussion.

No Cromartie, it isn't about opposing views, you are a troll who doesn't care and this place banned you a few times before because of that. You are lucky I can't do it myself or you'd been gone already.

Sounds like you have some anger and personal things to work through man.  I'm just here to discuss my viewpoints on the weather.  Hope you can get that figured out and feel better.

I'm good, as the trade off will be not having to deal with never-ending feeezing temps a couple months from now.

So true, the freezing temps are not compatible with life.  Never seen a palm tree die because it was 110.  I've seen many die below freezing.

Cherry Picking events does not constitute climate change.   Climate will always change because it was NEVER a constant.  These birds showing up is due to various circumstances the least likely being climate change.  Last I checked winters with snow and subfreezing temps still occurs in Wisconsin.   Acting like animals have never shown up in places they don't belong is just ridiculous as saying every one of these events are because of climate change.

<Lightning head in sand> climate isn't warming, climate isn't warming, climate isn't warming.

Its a sign that they got caught in the winds of Hurricane Idalia. Make sure to let us know how they are doing when its 0F out.

If you believe the BS concocted story of a hurricane over a month ago blowing them up here, I have a bridge to sell you.  They are up here because the planet is warming.

The fact that we haven't had a mod in this sub for quite awhile is a testament to some pretty good posters here throughout I'd say.  Yeah we ain't perfect, but overall for an unmodded sub I'd say this sub runs pretty nicely.

We don't need mods, gatekeepers and free speech deniers.  As long as one isn't promoting or doing outright illegal things, people should have the right to speak their thoughts.

The model trend for this weekend into early next week is bad.  There is now unanimous agreement that blocking will win and this system will hit a brick wall over Iowa/Minnesota.  Those juiced-up Euro runs are long gone.  The GEFS and EPS qpf mean have really dried out from Cedar Rapids to Minneapolis, with nothing east of there.  2023 just keeps on giving.

Good - I have stuff to do outside.

The hottest temp at Detroit this summer was 90F. Not since 1915 has Detroit had a max temp that low on the year. Yup, you read that right. Its been 108 years since Detroit saw an annual max temp as low as they did in 2023. Since DTW came into existence in 1958, there has never been a period this long without the temp exceeding 90 (ie 91+). We are currently at 407 days and counting, and the previous record was 373 days. Using the entire period of record (1872), this is the longest we have gone without exceeding 90F since 1916 (most of the records were from the 1800s). If we make it to June 25, 2024 without a 91 it will be the 3rd longest period on record, only behind 1878 & 1886. Even if we hit it early, say June 1st, thats already 664 days and blows right past the DTW record by nearly 300 days.

More cherry picked data.  Go west across the pond and MKE hit 101 this summer.  With lots of other days in mid 90s.  Your point is but one in a large sea.  And that sea is getting hotter overall.

  10. Post this somewhere else, this isn't the place for it. Oh and before you say I am anti-climate change or something ignorant, I am far from that but this isn't the place for climate change diatribes there is a subforum for that.

This is local and relevant to our area.
