  1. Some nice storms firing both east and west of HBG right now.
  2. I was doing way too much of that over the summer. Hope to never again...we're getting too old for this kind of nonsense.
  3. That's one thing that seems to be missing during the winter. I remember back when I was younger there were arctic fronts where it would go from 40 to 10 in a matter of hours. We don't seem to get those kind of temperature swings any longer.
  4. Didn't quite make it to .1" of rain yesterday. Radar looked better than ground reality around here. @sauss06 You okay? Haven't seen you post in a while. I hope all is well.
  5. If it doesn't hit 90 this weekend there's a much better chance next week.
  6. Was in Mt. Joy last night and for about 3 minutes there was legitimate rain around 8:30pm. Got home...nothing. The streak lives on...
  7. Correct, but there was a noticeable haze on the western horizon at sunset last night. The sky did look more like summer than it did earlier in the week.
  8. And the sky looks like summer. There was a huge difference comparing sunsets from the middle of last week to Saturday and especially Sunday nights. Lot more haze in the air, my wife and I were out walking last evening and she said it looked like an August evening. I was proud of her for that recognition.
  9. Chances of rain on Monday seem to be decreasing somewhat. As others have said, let's not waste a good weather pattern now. It might as well be warm and dry now so by the time we get to December we're rocking. Right?
  10. I'd gladly take a few inches of rain off of southeast Texas' hands...my God...
  11. I had 47.4 this morning. Felt amazing out there, didn't it?
  12. Might that have something to do with Alaska (Anchorage in particular) having it's hottest summer ever? For the first time in recorded history the city of Anchorage reached 90 degrees this summer. Think I also read that 68% of the days in June, July and August were above normal.
  13. What a spectacular morning to step outside! Schedule today is gonna prevent me from getting a nice river trail walk in though.
  14. Euro is only wrong when showing a January coastal bomb 6 days out. We're going to be baking again...
  15. Gorgeous here in Pittsburgh. Ready to watch Russ Wilson pick apart the Steelers tomorrow.
  16. No idea...did you get any rain overnight? I had a storm sometime around 2:00am that left about .3" in my bucket.
  17. Same for me...though I think solely based from memory that I had stronger sustained winds from Isabel. Actually, from records at LNS Lancaster had sustained winds of 36mph with gusts to 51mph from Sandy. Isabel saw sustained winds of 38mph with peak gust to 52mph. Very similar events locally. (both events had gusts in the 60-70mph range in other areas of the county)
  18. I look at the forecast for Thursday through Sunday and smile broadly...that is all.
  19. Seems that the slower forward motion is potentially allowing Dorian to get picked up by a trough and thus the significant move poleward. Then again if it moves too much slower it might be a swing and a miss wide right....
  20. Went to OBX this summer instead of Rehoboth...first year in my life I haven't vacationed there. Great, compact place with a ton of great places to eat from fine dining to pizza joints. If you're staying downtown you can park your car upon arrival and let it sit until you go home.
  21. Looks like there will be just enough oomph to the front tomorrow that Saturday could be a pretty stellar day as well.
  22. Same. I'll be celebrating birthday #54 on the 7th at Beaver Stadium and would like some football weather. For some reason it was decided that Buffalo was a marquee matchup and they moved kickoff to 7:30pm...
  23. Not really sure what happened to the cool air for the upcoming weekend, a lot of forecasts that I'm seeing for Lancaster are for temps in the mid 80s both Saturday and Sunday.
